EL is... Alive? And her scanner is, too? Wow. I need to check this thread more often. Awesome job as usual! I love the look on Leela's face, and Amy's hair looks really cool.

EvilLunch, I wasn't around for your earlier stuff, but its all really neat, great to see you back at it, even if it's just the odd sketch now and then. I adore Leela's cute, but funky (and naked ) pose! RS 2thou, those are looking nice, especially the Bender one. I like your style, hope to see some more soon.

venus- failed attempt at making a more realistic looking stomach. lately I've been making a point of including the patch of fat on the front slightly under hip level. that didn't turn out right, though. dog- god those're gorgeous.

Well I see where you're coming from EL, I don't think it looks too bad, and the rest of the picture is adorable! Nice to see you around again Nice work DD8, I agree about the last one, I like that in particular THe Fry?Nibbler reminds me of the art style that was used for the Gorrilaz (spelling???) videos - which is no bad thing Anyvay, just an additional note to say I have some new additional artwork up at Something About Leela, with it (and more) appearing on TLZ some time tomorrow hopefully Go check it out if you're interested. It's artwork that hasn't appeared on a website before, but... most of it I've posted here already, and some of the peices are over 18 months old... I need to get back into the swing of this me feels... http://www.aboutleela.ru/index.php

Just wondering, but what's a "scan"? Is it just pictures you sketched then went over in photoshop and stuff??

Another question; when you guys scan em, what program do you take it to and what tools do you use? I've started learning the pen tool, so if it's the pen tool, I made try it out.

Hey Cosmic H i can answer your question:
People say not to use the pen tool, or its the other way around, i dunno.

Zed 85: That looks fantastic, its very atmospheric.
I've always used Macromedia Freehand for lines, I find it a lot quicker, and much less annoying to use than Illustrator.

BUMP...Hey Peeps, This is something that I bring you from the world of 3D. I decided to try my hand at modeling a head, thiss is my second try and I think he looks pretty good, the first one sucked ass. Anyway, I'll be doing some twiking and adding of a few things.

AsaB, did you use the computer to make those? If not, what? Very professional looking work. Your attention to detail takes it to the next level.

i was talking about the ones on the first pages. you're welcome, naturally.
how do you scan them to the computer and finish them there without showing any trace of the original drawing? i could see how it could be done but can anyone do this with a PC? if so, i would like to try to do the same thing. i have a scanner but my drawing is a lot larger than the scanner bed. any guidance would be appreciated! or email me maybe... some people here have a serious problem with off topic conversation for some reason.

Sure, you can do it with a PC. Or a Mac, if that's your preference. I use PhotoShop for colouring. I'm not sure if you're familiar with it or not, but because of a wonderful little thing called layers on it, one can easily draw on top of the original sketch and then discard it later, with only the new lineart left. Get my drift? Found this little pic that explains it a bitAs for your drawing being bigger than a scanner: Well, I've heard that PhotoShop 8 has a new features that should help you. You simply scan your picture in steps and then a magic feature in PhotoShop puts it automatically together, without any noticably traces of merging. Magic! Anyway, you can probably find PhotoShop somewhere on the net. And we're not that off-topic, are we? Just two budding artists helping each other out, in a fanart thread! But if you have any (long?) questions, feel free to mail me.

A level of Robot Hell. I think. I have been drawing Fry very much lately. And I am also fascinated, as Matt is, by.. humans having things done to them by machines. Linked to it instead of displaying it for.. blood, I suppose. I may colour it. http://img51.exs.cx/img51/8070/fry3gg.jpg
