Ok that was awesome and the new series can not come soon enough.

The revaltions made some sense I guess. Certainly explains why D'Anna appologised to one of the final five in her vision. One thing though

I would be quite happy if they go with the plan for series 4. Best to have a strong series with a good ending rather than draging it on with crappy filler stuff (like a certain series about an island).

Watching the original Galactica on Ion. My reaction: LOLZ.

Actually, not too bad for a mid-70s TV show. But still, LOLZ.

'Battlestar Galactica': Say it ain't frakkin so!

Sad but true: "Battlestar Galactica" will end its run next year after its
fourth and final season.

After weeks of speculation, the end is in fact near. According to a high
level source at Sci Fi Channel parent company NBC Universal, the show will
dock after its next 22-episode season, slated to kick off in early 2008.

Sources say the decision came down from executive producers Ronald D. Moore
and David Eick, who are said to feel creatively like this upcoming arc will
be its last.

Rumors began circulating this month when two "Battlestar Galactica" stars,
Edward James Olmos and Katee Sackhoff, referred to the next season as the
show's swan song while attending the annual Saturn Awards.

"It's the final season, so it's definitely going to be the most vicious,"
Olmos told reporters.  "As far as we know, in respects of the way we have
this show constructed, this is the final season."

Sci Fi Channel is expected to announce the news as soon as this afternoon.

UPDATE: Minutes after this was posted, Sci Fi Channel sent us the press
release confirming the show is ending. See what Eick and Moore have to say
after the jump...

"This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and finally, an
end. Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have
been moving strongly toward that end and we've decided to listen to those
internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms," Eick and Moore said
in the statement. "And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the
end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there --
we're going out with a bang ."

Taste the frakkiness.  :(
Ah well, better to finish while it's ahead and not drag on, they should do a finale mini-series too, like the way it began.

Least  we can still look forward to this.

That rather sucks, although as Faze said it is better than going on so long that it ceases to be any good would be worse.

The problem is that controls are far too sensitive, i have been playing X-Wing saga for 11 years, a lot of sims (as hardcore as Falcon 4.0 and Flanker 2.0) WingCommander, etc.. and n this one its irritating to aim at the target ship without constantly overshooting it.. it break my nerves and as i said im not a rookie in space combat sims..

I played the entire B5 mod , it was hard to aim too but this is somehow harder..

about the final cylon me speculations:

-Surelly is a she .. there are allready 7 male cylons...and only 4 female it would be more ballanced 7/5 than 8/4..
The 12 cylon models are suposed to represent the colonial society.. the Cylon looked at the humans and said "i can represent their entire society in only 12 models"

Starting with next week's episode of Flash Gordon, Sci Fi will begin airing the two-minute "Razor" minisode videos during each episode of Flash Gordon. This will continue each week until the premiere of the two-hour "Battlestar Galactica: Razor" special on Nov. 24.

Haha. Nice way to boost ratings on that mediocre pile of crap...

Agreed.  I'll be waiting until they're all aired and someone strings them together.  I don't like Galactica so much that I'm going to wade through Flash Gordon of all things to catch two minute clips of it.  Besides, one minute of each clip is probably commercials pimping the upcoming season!

Well, at least I have the innovation of TiVo to record the whole episode and skip around it at my leisure.

I also believe that you'll be able to view the clips on Sci-Fi Channel.com like those Resistance minisodes from last season...

Please, if any of you know about when they will be watchable on-line on the web tell it!

Oh BTW..
I wonder when someone will ask RDM if the starboard flight pod of Galactica is or will be available.. It wasnt, but in "A Measure of salvation" Apollo`s Raptor group aproaches the "starboard landing bay" to land..

And wonder how many Vipers Galactica has..
The Viper tally of Galactica was some 30 fighters after "Scar"... and Pegasus added 4 squadrons, wich are some 80 more.. and even in Scar they said Pegasus was going to manufacture 2 squads more , so its 40 more...
There was no "heavy looses" after that and the battle of new caprica.. so, ignoring looses in that battle, after the Pegasus downing wich didnt loose any fighters since they were left guarding the fleet, Galactica now can have up to 30 (original) + 80 (Pegasus) + 40 (2 squads built)
= upp to 150.. thats confusing..

I think when we can link the final personality (the most unpredictable, uncontrollable personality, I might add) We'll have our cyborg.

I may want to edit this down the line.  Leoben, despite the name, is SUCH a Gemini.

Start of GALACTICA’s Final Season Delayed Until April!

Quote
Fans who have been waiting since March for new episodes of “Battlestar Galactica” are going to have to wait a little longer.

The Los Angeles Times now reports that “Galactica’s” fourth and final season, long expected to begin in January, won’t commence until April.

This would finally explain why the series’ 3rd season DVD set won’t be out till April!

Still up in the air is whether or not we’ll have to wait until 2009 to see the series’ final episodes.

The Times also reveals that series mastermind Ron Moore plans to make his directorial debut on one of “Galactica’s” last 10 episodes.
