Watching Angel - Rain of Fire. What to say... Cordy and Angel "breaking up" in a way, despite they were never together, yet still in love. Then Gunn and Fred doing the same sortof over the professor killing. Wes being sneaky - I just wanna work him out already! OOo and the big bad coming up where Connor was born. Oh I loved the slow-motion Wesley shooting at the big bad. Then slow-mo with the rifle shooting. Ohhhhh THEN the very end where So wrong! On so many levels!

I watched Angel too. I have to say I'm surprised that so many people can't stomach that ending. Some people have threatened to stop watching the show if this continues. I'm not talking about here obviously, but other message boards. I think Joss did this intentionally to make us think, not to turn us off the show. My English professor says that the best books shock you and challenge your viewpoints. Well, Joss has certainly managed to accomplish that and that's so rare on TV. Most are just mindless zombies doing what's socially acceptable. Nobody dies in those kinds of shows and problems are over within an hour. Angel and also Buffy are unique, because their problems don't just go away. They DEAL with them. Sure, that ending may have been morally and socially wrong, but they have to deal with consequences. They have to get over it and move on. I, for one, can't wait to see how they handle this. This isn't easy to walk away from and I'll relish the torment, because it makes victory all the sweeter. "In the face of death, everything is right. In morning's light, you realize your plight" Don't know if that made much sense, I just felt like saying it. That should be part of a poem So people, give it a chance. The season's young yet and full of surprises P.S. In case you didn't hear before, I'm not saying the ending was right, just that it's something they'll have to face when they don't die.

Wow Allen that's way too serious viewing for my liking! I just watched Buffy - Sleeper. I was actually curious if the big bad that has just arisen in LA (in Angel) is infact going to be the same big bad in Buffy which has just started to make itself known to Sunnydale. Wouldn't that be cool if it's a crossover again? No Warren and the gang this week, aw. I wanted to know if Andrew (i think it was) was really dead! Spike being all weird and two minded. Just a wrap up of last weeks ep basically with Dawn and Willow. No new info. Anya snooping on Spike getting caught then saying she came "for.. SEX!" heheh Poor Xander getting punched out, but he does it so well Poor guy

Kryten: Yep. I have this vague memory of early-Buffy when they spoke about this. I was trying to remember what it was exactly, but then I saw the big fugly thing at the end and I figured it was the first ever vampire? Or something? Maybe I'm wrong. Feel free to correct me.
It all sort of correlated for a while with the big bad that was coming up in Angel. I thought maybe they'd have a cross-over again with both shows having the same baddie. I guess not. The big Angel baddie seems pretty invincable. Still... what will happen in both shows? They're both reaching areas where a "big bad" is rising and taking over the world with it's wrath.... and so forth... I wonder.

I agree... Angel has been getting increasingly silly and the whole Cordy thing reminds me of Days of our Lives. I felt the same way about last season, too - what was with that talking plastic burger??? sheesh. Whereas the Spike storyline has me completely enthralled at the moment.

Buffy series 5 pretty much sucked (mystical sister-key my arse!) but I thought series 6 was great. The nerdy trio arguing about spray painting the death star ("those are flawed plans!" ) onto the side of their van... classic. Something for the geek inside us all. Angel, I'm afraid, seems to have gone so far off it's original rails that I'm not sure it'll ever get back on track again... I still watch it tho. It passes the time.

Dawn is annoying in every series. And double meat palace... well, that was funny on the first episode it was on. They've had to drop it now, anyway, because the sponsors weren't happy at the idea of Buffy working in a fast-food place.

Well, my research (being 2 minutes of googling) shows to me that Angel and Buffy aren't on again until January again? What's up with that? Some Christmas off-peak period time thingy?? No fair, I was just getting into it... Gives me time to clear out my HD I guess... make some CDs should I get the burner I want from Santa. Anyway... As I implied, not happy about the non-Angel-non-Buffy period
