Hey guys, for all you old-school wrestling fans, here's something you might be interested in. January 31st, and February 1st, 2004, in Charlotte, North Carolina, there's going to be the mid-atlantic Legends Fest. Here's a current list of wrestlers that are scheduled to be there.
Saturday: Magnum T.A., Masked Superstar, Greg Valentine, Ron Garvin, Jimmy Valiant, Abe Jacobs, Don & Rocky Kernodle, Tommy Young
Sunday: The Rock-n-Roll Express, Tully Blanchard, Ivan Koloff, Johnny Weaver, George South, David Isley, Tommy Angel
Rumor has it that Ric Flair and Arn Anderson may show up, so, there may be a reunion of the 4 horseman.
I'm planning on being there, if you want more info. go to the website midatlanticlegends.com, where it's got the info. It may be the last chance to see some of these former superstars, so aim for the top!

Sorry, I should have been a little more specific, but yeah, it's all about autographs and seing the mid-atlantic/nwa wrestlers again. A friend of mine that used to work in that promotion has said that there are others rumored to be there, including Abdhullah the Butcher, Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express, Baron von Raschke, Paul Jones, and more to come. The cost, I believe, is 38 dollars for 2 days, but, the autographs are free, they'll have a ring in the middle, and the old stars will do promos, like in the past. Jim Cornette may do his promo,/stand-up routine(and he's funnier than most of the stand-up on Comedy central). This is just a great thing to go to, for fans of old-school, and may well be the last time a lot of these folks are in the same area together. As I find out more, I'll post it.
As for survivor series, who thinks Goldberg's going to lose the belt to HHH? I think all dad-in-law Vince has to do is snap his fingers for that. It's kind of a shame, since Goldberg has been a pretty good champ.

I rent WWE Smackdown – Here Come The Pain and I find the game very hard. I play as The Rock on Season mode and I wasn’t happy when I try to win the WWE World tile of HHH. The Bra and Panties match was good. I guess it’s something for the guys to play at all the time. I won it once as Tory Wilson.

Smackdown and Raw both showed the faces winning most of the matches. Which is weird as it was always my impression that the Heels should win before the PPV.
I'm glad they let Cena win with the chain. It's important for him to maintain that anti-hero type character, like stone cold.

I think we're past the era of the faces coming good at the pay-per-view, remember they used to always have the face walk out of Wrestlemania main event as the winner, but after Triple-H buggered that up at WM16, that rule's not so hard and fast anymore.
Shame really.

Yeah, the faces hardly even get a victory anymore. It's just the heels making them look like idiots over and over and over.

Surely there's only so much that you can play the 'heel getting one over the face' angle before that'll get tiring. Nah, it's tiring now.
The bad guys are supposed to eventually get their come-uppance.
Sheesh, I sound like Bret Hart.

WCW wore out its welcome. I was a hardcore WCW fan ever since my grandfather showed me old tapes of NWA, which for those who don't know was the seed that created WCW. After awhile I just couldn't take anymore NWO. But one of the best things about WCW was that it ispired WWF to take itself to new heights to compete. Sadly, they got too far ahead and there was no competition left, thus resulting in what you see today.

Thats why I hope NWA TNA gets a deal soon. I don't like TNA a lot, but they have good storylines and great athletes. And competing with WWE smells like big success for the wrestling bussiness.

Taker losing the buried alive match is a pre-cursor to going back to his 'dead man' gimmick, we believe.

You don't have to put spoiler, if they missed it, they probably aren't ever going to.
Alot of rumor is circulating around the issue of the dead man returning. I for one don't believe it will happen. But time will prove me wrong/right.

Vinnie-Mac is a big fan of old-skool gimmicks, and 'Taker's "Biker Dude" gimmick was shite. I'd love to see him return to the dead man, certainly as a final-round to his career, be fitting to return to the gimmick he had when he started (except when he was Mean Mark).

I think Takers biker gimmick is fine. Its important for gimmick wrestlers to evolve thier gimmick, so that they can be practical. People were only going to accept that Undertake was a demon for so long and taking Taker to the next level was a cool thing to do. I liked Biker UT from the begining.
My only hope is that he doesn't go completely back to the dead man gimick and keeps some elements.

I liked the direction they were going with Kane. Its important for a guy like Kane to stay interesting and new. And repackaging is something that the WWE does with stars from time to time. In this case, they evolved Kanes character, and I can say my only complaint is his inability to beat Shane without a struggle, I found this profoundly stupid.
Would you guys have them evolve the Katie Vick angle? I think not. I think that a world title feud is exactly what he needs right now.
