road to rhode island is the best
death is a bitch 2nd.
but then i've missed a few episodes, which i'm yet to watch on the season 3 boxset that i bought today cos it was on sale (  hooray).
i think the main diffrence between u.k and american is that
the last 6 episodes from season 2 are put at the beginning of season 3, probably made sense because some of them would'nt have aired in the u.k at the time of dvd release

ok no one is responding to this family guy thread.
yet were not allowed to have others.
someone started a favorite qoutes thread and that was closed, then i started 1 because i wanted a place to give some favourite qoutes, and jokingly said aren't i a rebel.
and because some moronic people don't understand sarcasm, they took it seriosly.
So yeah just wanted to clear that up. not that anyones going to read this

Back on the topic of FAVORITE EPISODES:

Speaking of Da Boom, my favourite moment would have to be near the start when Peter emerges from the basement wearing the nuclear halocaust protective clothing...

CHRIS: It's the government! Run, E.T!
(E.T. runs past everyone screaming, and they just act as if it's a normal thing)  :p

The awesome wholesomeness of such great quality entertainment like Family Guy is only found elsewhere in such places like Pulp Fiction, and From Dusk Til` Dawn; but one fact remains ;The episodes are a joint effort and a great acheivement at that because not one episode tottaly sucks ass.... god bless em`...

I like Da Boom, specially the ending spoofing the classic Dallas Dream Season cliffhanger (You ought to watch it on SoapNet for that!!!)!!!   ;)

Also enjoy the Christmas episode. Wonder why Fox waited two years for that one to air.

I haven't seen Wasted Talent yet, but it's does have Space Wasps, Space Beavers, any animals with Space in front, Space Chickens and the Elusive Yak Face!!!   ;)

In a matter of fact, I LIKE THEM ALL!!!

I'm bringing this back because "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein" (sp) finally aired in north america. This is my new favorite episode (I've seen it 4 times on DVD and once on TV... censored!)of all time.
If you haven't seen the episode, get the DVD or... wait until it comes up on TV.

I got the Season One DVD a few weeks ago, and I've been watching it over and over again. The Aussie version of Season One goes by production order (except for There's Something About Paulie, which I think was removed from the DVD because it aired so late, even though it's in Season One's production line), so I'll rank every episode in the first season from favourite to least-favourite:

1. Chitty Chitty Death Bang
2. Death Is A Bitch
3. The King Is Dead
4. Running Mates
5. I Never Met The Dead Man
6. Peter Peter Caviar Eater
7. Mind Over Murder
8. Brian: Portrait Of A Dog
9. Love Thy Trophy
10. Death Has A Shadow
11. The Son Also Draws
12. Holy Crap
13. If I'm Dyin, I'm Lyin'
14. A Hero Sits Next Door

Although none of the last few episodes are particularly bad (with the exception of A Hero Sits Next Door), that's what happens when you rank episodes. Also, I think a lot of the jokes in If I'm Dyin, I'm Lyin' were lost on me due to the fact that I live in Australia, and a lot of the humour was related to American TV stations. Still, most of the episodes are terrific - and full of laughs the whole way through.  :)

I really Liked "A Hero Sits Next Door".
(from "Holy Crap" )

A Hero Sits Next Door really only made me laugh once ("My parents don't like me listening to that stuff, but I do anyway because I AM NOT A ROBOT!!!" ). Other than that, most of the jokes just seemed really lame. Whoever wrote that episode obviously hadn't mastered Family Guy humour at the time, it just seemed like the script was trying too hard to be funny and off-beat. Still, that's my opinion anyway.

Also, I think most of the jokes from Holy Crap were lost on me because I'm an atheist and know practically nothing about the bible or religion. Not that the episode didn't still have it's moments in my opinion.

Chitty Chitty Death Bang and E Peterus Unum stand out as my favorites.

Also, is the 'banned' episode from Season 3 listed in there, and is it in the DVD? I remember seeing it, and it was offensive, but it wasn't the most scathing of all Family Guy fare.

Hrmm. It irritates me that I dont know any of the episode names. I do like the one with the scene in which Anne Frank and her family are hiding in the loft of the house and Peter is sat there eating crisps as loud as he can:

*Family look sternly at Peter*
Peter: What?

BLACK to the future was hilarious.

Hahaha - BLACK to the Future was classic. I also like the part in If I'm Dyin' I'm Lyin' when they're walking past all the TV's with different stations on, and one of them just has a plant instead of an actual screen.  :laff:

However, I'm pretty sure that the joke was a little more meaningful (and was probably at the expense of an American TV channel that I haven't heard of), but still - I found it hillarious.

Actually, they left that joke in the Australian DVD's, I just forgot all about it. You're right though - it is a very funny joke (I can't believe I didn't remember it), however - I still don't think the episode's that good. Every scene inside the bank was just plain lame and brought the episode down with it... I mean, that "improvisation" joke was NOT FUNNY! Still, the episode IS a lot better than I said it was earlier, but I still think it was the worst episode of Season 1.

I thought that "Holy Crap" was a great episode, because they managed to still be funny without really being anti-Catholic.  That's rare on TV these days.

"Let's Hope Osama Bin Laden doesn't know showtunes."
Those 8 words turned into an entire scene cut.
:( DVD? No. CN? No. Only once was it aired on FOX. the joke. The osama joke. www.familyguyfiles.com
Also..
Did you know that "Supergriffins" was the only thing besides the pilot Seth Mcfarlane wrote for Family Guy (In general)?
That's something I noticed on the back of my Family guy DVD's
