"I Never Met the Dead Man", especially the "away team" joke.  :laff:

In the UK it aired on the same night as Futurama's "The Series Has Landed".  At that point I actually thought Family Guy was the better of the two shows.

My favorite is the one where Death (Norm Macdonald) sprains his snkle and peter is forced to be Death. Norm is a very funny guy, i was glad when he did a cameo on family guy. Overall it was my favorite family guy episode.

I liked Death's appearance in "Mr. Saturday Knight", one of the highest rated episodes on Cartoon Network.
EDIT: Oh, and the Dog version of death is there too.

I loved Mr. Saturday Knight. Most Season 3 episodes had a slightly strange atmosphere to themselves, but Mr. Saturday Knight felt like a typical 1ACX/2ACX episode.

Well, maybe that was because they had to hire NEW WRITERS for Season 3.
The new FG is going to be S3 all over again, if there is one. And by that I mean NEW WRITERS.

I'm aware they hired new writers, I was just saying that Mr. Saturday Knight felt like an earlier episode. I'm not saying that Season 3 wasn't good - it was good in it's own way. I just prefered the Season 1/2 episodes. From what I've seen, Season 3 did produce SOME real gems though (such as To Love And Die In Dixie).

Agreed. Also, in the 1st ep of 3ACX, Emission Impossible, Quagmire and the gang are VERY out of character.

EDIT-

That was the whole joke. Normally, women are the ones who get excited like that upon word of an upcoming baby, but the writers did a little role-reversal here all in the name of humour. Quagmire was in character throughout most other parts of the episode though.

"I don't wanna come between you... or do I?"  :laff:

I just saw Road To Rhode Island. Pretty good episode with some great jokes ("The only English I can speak is that sentence, and then this one explaining it"  :laff: ). Also, I love the fact that they broke the typical Family Guy format here. It really goes to show that odd episodes out can be quite good if done well. Not the best episode, but definately a good one.

I haven't seen Lethal Weapons yet, but how the hell did Weinstein and I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar get on there? It's not like they're popular episodes or anything, or even very good for that matter.

Yay, I love that episode!

Also, I realised something today. I've always noticed that the Griffin household looked slightly different in Season 3, and I just manage to put my finger on exactly why it does... the colours of the rooms have changed. Check it out for yourself - in Season 1 & 2, the carpets were yellow, while in Season 3, they're dark aqua. Funny thing is that even in Season 3, the carpets still remain yellow in the intro.

Anyone know why they changed the colours?

I think I'll have to go with "To Live and Die in Dixie." That and "Road to Rhode Island." Maybe "Husband, Father... Brother?" as well.

One of my faves is the Lets go to the hop. The one with the toad licking. Also I like Mr. Saturday Knight and the one where Death sprains his ankle... I like a few more too,

The production order dosen't make sense, Brian leaves n one episode, returns in another, stays, then automaticcly (SP) goes to Hollywood

They were always intended to be a 2-parter, and they were always intended to air as a 2-parter (hence one of the reasons why the DVDs go in broadcast order rather than production order), however - when they were being made, they decided to put the making of the second part on hiatus so they could make Lethal Weapons & One If By Clam. I don't know why they made 2 episodes in between, it might have been because they were tired with the Brian story, or because they needed something before making part 2... nobody really nows.

Basically, it doesn't matter what order they're made in - as long as they got aired as a 2-parter, which is what the intentions of the Family Guy staff were in the first place anyway.

I'm not sure what the title is, but it's the one where Peter has to go to a camp to get in touch with his feminine side and ends up acting and thinking like a woman. (The scene with Stewie is hilarious!)

Thats a good one too, I like the Part in Screwed the Pooch, where Peter is in that huge glass box, and lets out a fart, then passes out on the smell, meanwhile Lois and I think Brian dont pay him any mind. That was Funny.

Fun Fact: Out of all the episodes aired on Fox, "A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas" had the lowest nelison rating.

I'm not a big fan of Family Guy, but my favorite episode has to be "Brian in Love".
On a bit of an unrelated note, "And the Weiner Is..." always reminds me of "Spanish Fry", and it has to be one of the most disgusting episodes of Family Guy ever. The one difference is, I liked "Spanish Fry". I always found that Futurama was not as irreverent as Family Guy, and IMO, did a better job of pulling off more adult subject matter in a tasteful manner. Not to say that Family Guy is bad or anything, it's just that both it and Futurama did penis-oriented episodes, and I think that Futurama pulled it off better.
But, the movie in "And the Weiner Is..." (the one about guns) was probably the only funny thing in the episode.

I'd have to say "He's too sexy for his fat." I base this on the lines "excuse me ma'am, you aren't allowed to park your van on the diving board... oh wait your not a van. You're just a fat kid, aren't Fatty McFatty" and "I'm turning you into poo!" when Chris figures out how to catch the twinkie.
I'm also a fan of the nuclear fallout episode(can't remember name) and Road to Rhode Island

Oh and I also love any episode where Chris talks about the evil monkey in his closet! I think maybe I'm bias towards Chris... of course that could be because I sympathize with the pain of hearing "the sound of my thighs scraping together when I run."

The third season was a lot more watchable than the first two seasons, but my favorite episode has to be road to rhode island. I was dissapointed by the second brian/stewie episode. The commentaries really SUCK though.

I've been able to hear a few commentaries (I have no intention of buying the sets, though) and I agree with you. They are no competition with The Simpsons and Futurama commentaries. I don't find them informative or even that funny.

I am Peter, Hear Me roar beats out Wasted Talent by just a little. I love when Peter is blaming the black men for causing bad things in the world, and his joke about women.
