Season DVD 5 news.

I've seen Trapper Keeper.  :p  Thanks for telling me that it was worth downloading, Beamer.    ;) Much better than the rest of the second half of season 4.

Oh my God! I've got a TOTPD!

Trapper Keeper ROCKS. [Even funnier if you've seen Akira, of course]

And before that episode, i always wondered what it would be like if Cartman was in charge of a town. And now i know.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I have asked various relatives for South Park boxsets so hopefully I will soon have all four. Huzzah!

Another South Park moment that really made me laugh was when the boys were walking towards Kenny's house and Cartman started singing "In The Ghetto". I love Cartman's singing voice.

Have you ever heard the full version of that? It has both Elvis and Cartman on it with soundbites of Cartman and making fun of Kenny in it. Hilarious.

It's from Season 5 - which should be coming out on DVD in the USA later this year, apparentally.

I've been looking everywhere to find complete Seasons of South Park on DVD in Australia, yet I've still had no luck.  :(

I'm going to be getting the full seasons 1-3 as soon as I get my PS2 money, and you're saying we don't have any? Damnit, that sucks. The Americans get the great covers while we get squat. Figures.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm retarded. Last night Goobacks was on and I just stared at the screen laughing and without even realizing it, I kept saying "They took err jerbs!". I think that episode is now in my top 5.

Yeah, everybody I know has been saying "They took arr jerbs!" since the thing first aired.  It replaced "I'm Rick James, bitch!" as the thing everybody said every two minutes.  I'm starting to wonder if they're all retarded.

Especially you.

really? I didnt like that episode as much as some of the other ones in this past season. But i guess everyone has preferences.

Cept "Good Times with Weapons". That episode owns all.

I just saw 'Scott Tennerman Must Die' which is undoubtedly the best episode. The twist ending is up there with Fight Club and The Sixth Sense.

Nobody really says it around here, just me. At least nobody I know has anyway. Not unless I start saying it.

The Chappelle show sucks. Know this, people. And to be honest, I never understood that Rick James thing anyway. Must be some cultural thing.

Though, I am, of course, guilty of using catchphrases. Like 'Roll out' from Transformers.

It doesn't suck.. But unfortunately, only the dumbest skits got really popular. What about the Niggars? The singing white lady? Ask a black guy/ask a gay guy? Wayne Brady? The Internet? Now those were genius..

Chappelle's Show DOES suck... it's just plain not funny.

Has anybody noticed that the last 4 SP episodes have all had running gags centered around words being repeated over and over again?
"You got served!"
"Laaaame."
"That's ignorant!"/"Shamon-a!!!"
and, of course - "Dey dook ur jeearbs!"

Not that there's anything wrong with that, as they were all pretty funny, but I hope this doesn't start to become a regular thing for the show. Don't get me wrong, I love running quote gags, but having one in every single episode is a bit too much.

I've noticed one thing they've been doing lately is reminding us these kids are only 9 years old by having them do stuff like playing with toy cars, or basketball, or something like that in between plot lines.

True. In fact, Up The Down Steroid, Passion Of The Jew & You Got F'ed In The A all had the kids either playing a game or playing with toys in the opening scene... Not to mention the fact that 801 was a half-fantasy episode.

Yeah I like that, It's a nice touch. There wasn't much kid stuff in season 7. "Lil' Crime Stoppers" started out like that, but eneded up with them actually becoming cops which ruined the effect. Not that I didn't like the episode.

Yeah, it's great seeing them play with toys, it really reminds you that they aren't teenagers or adults, they're just 9-year old kids.
I didn't like Goobacks that much, but I did love "They toek arr jerbs!". I also like annoy people by saying "Ch-kn Snd-wch?".

A quote of the most recognisable phrase in South Park history? You conformist!  :p

I'd say "They took our thread!", but it's too lame and predictable... how about the quote "Dog shit taco" from South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut? ... C'mon! ... It's funny!

What about "Southpark is Gay" or "'It's on!' Southpark Season 8"?

I do like "Dog Shit Taco" though, only problem is it will probably result in about 20 other Southpark threads when new posters can't find it. But we probably don't want them posting in the Southpark thread anyway.  :p
