Next new Ep:
---------------------------------------------
Episode 711: Casa Bonita
Kyle's parents are taking him and three of his friends to Casa Bonita, Colorado's version of a Mexican Disneyland. When Kyle chooses to invite Butters over him, Cartman arranges to have poor Butters go conveniently "missing."
------------------------------------------------
Sounds good to me  ;).

Oh no--more Mexican jokes   :laff:

I wasn't *offended*, but I remember how sad everyone was when that old man drove through the Farmer's market and killed those people, so it did surprise me a little that they'd make an episode pisstaking that. However--SOMEONE has to say it. SOMEONE has to unabashedly point out the fact that there are lots of old coots on the road who shouldn't be driving. My boyfriend points is out to me every time we're driving with anecdotes such as:

"Get off the road, ya goddamn grandma!"
"That old fuckin' man shouldn't have his license! He drives like an idiot!"

etc. Though he doesn't have a cartoon on TV so no one listens.

Shoot me

Ha Ha Ha! That was awsome, good to see Butters getting back into the spotlight with the other boys again. Notice how Cartman is only getting put away for a week? He'll be out in time for next wednesday.

Oh man, what a funny episode!  I love the Cartman-based episodes.  They're all so funny!  I think it's the second best of the four episodes shown so far.  That christian music episode is going to be hard to beat.  But anyway, I also thought that Butters was absolutely hilarious.  Especially when he pulled down his pants in front of that garbage dump worker to "re-populate the human race".  And everything else about the episode was hilarious.  Cartman was acting like the ass he always is, and in this episode, they really pushed it.  But it worked out totally great!

I didn't notice the reason why Cartman would be put away for just a week.  When I was watching the show, I was thinking to myself that that's really short, but now it makes sense.

I hear "Casa Bonita" is a real resturant. Anyone ever been there? I was just curious about how accurate they got it.

At the end of the credits, they flashed a quick thank you note to Casa Bonita.  Before this episode, I've never heard of it, so I'm guessing that it's based at least somewhat on the real thing.

I entered Casa Bonita into a spanish-to-english translator, and apparentally it means "pretty house." Although it probably doesn't mean that and is due to the lousy translation, you have to admit that it's pretty funny.  :laff:

I've yet to see the episode though, but I did just see Grey Dawn. Despite a few small chuckles, I didn't really find it that funny - it just didn't have that South Park feel to the episode. Still, like most of Season 7's below-average episodes, it was far from awful - and better than most crap on TV.

Hmmm... you're like the 5th person I've been talking to that didn't find it funny, I think I'll watch it again and see if my judgement was clouded because of the mood I was in that day.

BTW beamer if you are having trouble finding the new eps drop me an email and I'll tell you a good spot.

Thanks for the offer, I have a 56k modem, and due to the fact that my internet disconnects every 3 hours - I can really only get my episodes from file-sharing programs, as they can pause downloads and stuff. New episodes take about a week to get uploaded, so I'll always be around about one episode behind, but still - it beats waiting months and months for the episodes to come to Australia.

Also, it's not that Grey Dawn wasn't funny (it beat the crap out of most other "comedies" on TV), I just don't think it was very funny when compared to South Park's usual standard. Still, like I said - it was in no way an awful episode, or a lame one for that matter.

You mean they're only JUST showing season six in the UK? Damn, even Australia's already a third of the way through airing season 7... Hmmm, I don't know why I bothered mentioning that, it's probably just making you feel worse.  :p

Still, there's something to look forward to - as season six is hands-down the best season of South Park (best episodes include The New Terrance & Phillip Movie Trailer, Professor Chaos, A Ladder To Heaven, The Biggest Douche In The Universe and Red Sleigh Down). Enjoy!

It was shown on Sky ages ago, in the past C4 was a year behind the US, I was starting to think that it had been dropped altogether.

Wow, the UK is really behind the rest of the world!  And you'd think they'd show it there much sooner, because they wouldn't have to dub it or subtitle it like they do in other countries.

not really thats not true at all, it was only a couple of weeks behind showing futurama, we just have very few terrstrial channels, its probably more common for people to have digital or cable tv
sky was only few weeks behind the u.s showing south park, but then they stopped again

A bit off topic, but I don't think subtitling takes too much time. We get Conan O'brien 3 days after it's been shown in the States with subtitles. Or actually less because of the time difference. So in about 60 hours after the airing in the USA, Conan is on Finnish TV with subtitles. That might explain the many mistakes in the transtalation as it is done in a hurry. Doesn't really bother me too much as I rarely read the subtitles as it misses half of the jokes.

Back on topic. I haven't made up my mind about the casa bonita episode yet. It's better than the old people one, but I'm not sure how much better. I'll better watch it again a couple of times. I do like the trend that Cartman gets what he deserves like getting beat up by Token and now going to juvenile hall.

Yay, new episode description has been released on South Park Studio's!

"Episode 712: All About Mormons?
A Mormon kid moves to South Park and Stan has to kick his ass. But when Stan and his dad meet their new Mormon neighbors, they become fascinated with how genuinely nice they are. While the other boys mock Stan relentlessly for wimping out, the rest of the town become Mormons."

Sounds like it should be hillarious and incredibly offensive. Can't wait to hear Slurm Guy's reaction to this...  :p

I was just on my way to post that  :D . Sounds great, Matt & Trey always do a good job with religion based episodes ("Ladder To Heaven", "Do The Handi Capped Goto Hell?" and many more).

Don't forget Red Hot Catholic Love! The whole video game segment was hillarious, and I love the icredibly false portrayal of atheism. Being an athiest myself, I couldn't help but laugh when the parents held an "athiest meeting" just to talk about how much they hate catholics. That's what I love about South Park's sattire - everything is so over-exagurated beyond belief that it's just so hillarious.  :D

Of course the "Red Hot Catholic Love" was awsome, what I liked best about it was.... excuse me a moment....

*Shits through mouth*

Any ways, being a vegeaterian, that's kind of why I liked "Fun With Veal" so much, because it was such and exaggerated depiction of being vegeaterian (Not to mention a great shot at the veal industry). I assure you, I'm not covered in viginas (It would probably improve my sex life though    :nono: )

One thing I love about South Park is that the citizens are like sheep. I mean - in this season alone, we've seen them become obsessed with singing protest songs, gambling, acting metrosexual and now becoming Mormons. It's just such a terrific parody on general human stupidity.  :)

Yep, that's true.  People really do act like sheep.  Why else are "reality" shows so popular?  Anyway, this upcoming episode sounds really good.  I agree as well that South Park's religious episodes are among the best of the series.  I just love the episode Ladder to Heaven!

Ladder To Heaven had me in stitches laughing the first time I saw it. Such a stupid (yet scarily realistic) portrayal of the media. Also, the boys were at the funniest they've been in ages in that episode. However, the best line in Ladder To Heaven is easily Mr. Garrison's comment during the news report.

"A ladder to heaven - that's fucking stupid!"  :laff:

Oh man, Matt 'n Trey got it accurate!  And there  really are cliff divers, and the building looks just like it does in South Park.  That's really interesting.  By the way, which episode was Bennigen's in?  Was that the one where Butters' mother tries to kill him after his father was going to those gay places?

Yesh, and it's also seen in the first episode with Proffesor Chaos. Chaos/Butters switches some peoples' soup.

I am happy they didn't make a polyigamy joke, that would have been too easy. The episode is even funnier if you realize that the Mormans are the one true faith in the South Park universe.
