Iron Man 2 Movie Comic Con Footage Leaked

watch while it's there

Pretty cool.
The scene where Tony's arguing charismatically with a government panel while the onlookers cheer for him is exactly like what happened when Howard Hughes was being grilled about war profiteering.

Also, was that Omega Red?

Spartacus - Blood and Sand

looks like a mix of Gladiator and 300 + more gore

These are not all films I'm looking forward to. In fact, many of them make me furious.

Further evidence that nobody in Hollywood is capable of a single original idea, 55 movie remakes currently in the works .

The Karate Kid is going to be named Kung Fu Kid, too. At least Jaden Smith knows martial arts.

Which reminds me:

Zemeckis to helm "Yellow Submarine" remake. This could either be awesome or horrible.

Oh, and didn't notice this a year ago:

On Avatar: it looks brilliant and awesome, but am I the only one who think some of the animation for the Na'vi could be a little better?

I'll show ye... by going to the free 15 min preview tonight, after I'll be all "oh chay, it was so wonderful and amazing" and you'll be all "nuh uh because I know because I saw the trailer... because" but then I'll be all like "trailer? PAH! BAH! MEH! you ain't seen nothin boyo!" and you'll be all "waaah! boo hoo!" and crying and stuff and then you'll probably fall over and curl into the fetal position and I'll steal your wallet and run off.

I'd *like* to think that a "good" adaption of The Jetsons might be okay, but its hard to see Hollywood doing anything except completely ruining it. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a decent version of Dune or a modern take on Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World either, but I'm not holding my breath.

I see that (another remake of) A Christmas Carol is coming out soon. Why?

Rat Race was basically it. And it wasn't great.  But a proper remake with Seth Rogan in it would probably be good.

I could see The Dirty Dozen with Dwayne Johnson in it.Remaking Metropolis would be like sticking a knife in Fritz Lang's heart. All that Art Deco imagery would probably get tossed. In order to make serious Hollywood money they would have to put a 'plosion and a couple nekkid babes in it.That would get the 12-15 male demographic to see it.
"The Birds" remake would get Hitchcock spinning around like a top.I would never see the remake.
"Last Tango in Paris"WITH TOM CRUISE.ROTFLMAO.Can Katie Holmes handle the Maria Schneider role. Will anyone believe her?Can anyone stomach Tom Cruise in Brando's role?
I can see Rose McGowan as Barbarella if they cast Marilyn Manson as Durand- Durand.

BTW didn't Futurama do the first remake of "Fantastic Voyage"
With only a very few changes "Parasites Lost"

There was Innerspace from 1987 which, as far as I can recall, was essentially an updated Fantastic Voyage.

That was said half facetiously. I was sure there some imitators over the past 30 odd years.
But can you really believe what you read in the Wikipedia?

"Feeling stupid!? I know I am!!"

The whole idea of shrinking people is kind of comedic in scientifically enlightened times. People could swallow it as serious sci-fi in 1966, but not so much now.

with nanotechnology the virtual Planet Express ship and crew may not be so farfetched in a few years time. They can already engineer a virus. This is cutting edge stuff.i'm sure it is only around the corner.

Nanotechnology is the future. Although for levels of sophistication beyond molecule machines with one or two functions only, you'd probably be looking at Picotechnology, which is a few centuries away.

Slipped off topic.

I just watched the avatar trailer (both video game and movie) Honestly I don't see what all the hype is about, the game looks craptastic and the movie looks decent but not mindblowing.
