Masty: Well, since Rach apparently turned me down, I guess you're better than nothing. I warn you, though, I was planning on pulling the old bottomless popcorn trick, and I've already done the prep work so I'm following through with it anyway.

As long as there is some free popcorn, I think I'm game.

...and by the way, I hope you weren't planning on watching Mr. Smith Goes  to Washington, because I saw that yesterday.

Quantum Of Solace

Hmm, not bad, Casino Royale was a little better though, not the acting was bad or anything, the main bad dude didn't really seem so threatening.

Yup, very good.
I would have accepted Alicia Keys singing Another Way to Die on her own but not Jack White, his voice isn't that good.

It's a bad, bad song. I love the White Stripes, but everything he does outside of that band is almost uniformly lame.

Yes Man

I missed 5 min start because my Boyfriend was calling me. The film was good and it was good to see Jim Carrey pulling faces again.

Beat part is when he was helping  the old woman.

Religulous
Bill Maher hits the road and finds some religious people to gently poke fun at and asks them the difficult questions that religious people always seem to make themselves and others confused about. I think he pretty much feels the same way I do about religions: that maybe it was supposed to mean well in the early days of humanity, and be this extraordinary guiding force in our lives, but over the centuries has become twisted, misinterpreted and brought out an extra layer of retardedness in a lot of people all over the world.

I disagree... that layer of retardedness has been present in humanity since first they were able to communicate with eachother.

Slumdog Millionaire
Superbly uplifting and interesting, Dev Patel was great and Freida Pinto was cute as a button.

If you like Twilight, you won't like Slumdog Millionaire, and vice versa. Also, I just saw Benjamin Button, I'll post a review later.

Benjamin Button

Okay, this is a little hard to give a rating. It starts off with great promise, but I found the actress who plays his adult long time companion really annoying. Their relationship was cute and entertaining with the littlest girl, but Cate Blanchett is irritating, and I found myself not really caring about their relationship, she was a bitch a lot of the time, and you wonder where that came from because she was so nice as the kid. They're almost different characters alltogether.. I wanted more a Benjamin Button odyssey kind of thing. But it redeems itself in the end and takes you by surprise. It was good...could have been better with different plot choices. Very worth seeing though.
*shrugs*

8.5/10

Edit: Just read this on another forum, it's pretty much the exact opposite of what I thought, heh.

"Disliked the whole first act of the movie. Strangely what made me like the movie was Cate Blanchett and her character. If not for her I don't think it would've been that good."

Books, i agree, i felt that as soon an whatsits moved to NY and did Ballet, she turned into a massive unlikable bitch.

The lady forgetting her coat was a good scene I thought.

Yesterday, I went to "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" rating it would be 8/10. I enjoyed it. It had a cute love story and an awesome premise.

Christmas day I went to both Marley & Me and Slumdog Millionaire. Also would have to give those two 8/10. Both were touching.

Really nice movie that gets a little dark towards the end. Nice visuals and story from both the story teller and the director, writer.

Kung Fu Panda

Actually pretty good! You just gotta look past the stupidness of the title and cover, and you'll find a fun, entertaining movie. The characters are good (the panda is actually the worst one), especially the tiger.

8/10

Edit, how disappointing is the box office? Marley & Me and Bedtime Stories beating Benjamin Button? srsly people, be less stupid.
