If Amy's an intern, wouldn't she be younger than that? Sorry, I don't know about the American college system.

I think they age during the show, but not at the same rate. So it's not necessarily going to be a whole year between their birthdays if their birthdays were shown. Probably a year and a half to two years between birthdays.
Does that make sense?

I think technically he is 1025, but his anatomical age is 25. However his *physical* age is still 1025 because his body has been around that long. Nice catch, less than hero.

Which probably means Leela is older than 25 as of "Brannigan Begin Again", probably 26 or 27. Making her slightly older than Fry. Making her 28-29 at the end of the show (only 2 Xmas').
Fry will be around 27 now, since he were 25 in SP3K.

thanks aslate Teenage mutant leelas hurdles spoilers ahead I was assuming that the 'Fountain of Aging' in 'Teenage mutant leelas hurdles' had no effect on the characters ages, except the professor's, because it was confirmed that he was actually older

I think the characters do age. I mean, the years go on, so they must age with the time. On The Simpsons, the years go on, but the characters stay the same age all the time. Their past changes to match up the new history (eg Bart is born in 1980 in "I Married Marge" but in "Lisa's Sax" he is 5 in 1990.) As for ages, assuming we are in 3003 now: Fry: 28/29 Leela: 28/29 Bender: 5/6 Farnsworth: 162/163 Amy: about 23/24 Hermes: In his 40s. I'd say around 44/45. Dr Zoidberg: Who knows? He could be 4, he could be 212 for all we know. Also, a year on deceapod 10 may not be the same as an Earth year, so Zoidy's age may vary here as well. (Note: the two ages for each character depend on where abouts in the year we are and when the character's birthdays are).

Yeah, but that's just something written on a crummy fansite, ie probably not cannon.
If Hermes were 25, having a 12-14 year old son would be really disturbing.

And he must have been around 20 years old when he participated in the 2980 Olympics, so I really doubt he is 25 now.

Not to mention; Hermes is a career driven bureaucrat, just look how excited he is about one lousy promotion (as opposed to warden Vogel, who have remained a grade 135 for 20 years), he probably spend a good part of his youth working 24/7. Plus there's his whole limbo-career to work into the equation too.
But just to compare: I'm 28, my father (who didn't have a workaholic careerstart/olympic sportsman thing going) is 54. One of my friends were 31 before he got his first kid.

I agree with all except Leela. I would guess Leela is around 31-33 (probably 30 when the show begins). I would look at Fry as being in between Amy and Leela in age. Leela has accomplished alot, and has matured. And the way Bender says "not unless we hit a timewarp" sounds like that 25 isn't even close. But, remember, a women may always lie about her age. Edit: Bottom of the Page Dance!!!! (well someone has to do it.) ------------------ What makes a good man go neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?[/b]
