Is it wrong that scrolling through this threrad, my overriding thought is that I want the Planet Express belt buckle Leela is wearing in the one with the "Caution: Dark Matter" sign behind her?

It would be cool. Either that or a shoulder patch or hood ornament.

The size of Leela's lips also seem to make her facial features look more exaggerated-- so with two eyes, the lips are MUCH more noticeable and that bothers me.

Even if Leela had kept her two eyes for more then one episode, I believe she'd eventually realize that everyone (meaning those she's not close to) was only being nice because she looked normal.

Short answer: People would be fake because Leela was fake.

And since Leela is all about honesty, she'd have the procedure reversed to go back to being herself. Its one of those, "You think you want it, til you get then realize what an awful idea it really was."

Random thought: A lot of people were upset about, not only Leela having two eyes, but the shape of them. My theory is, her normal eye is oval, why not her two eyes?

The first mistake you make about girls:  You assume that they're girls.

Trust me, I've been there.  And it did not end well.

Your second mistake is to assume girls don't sex:  If there is anything a girl likes, it's that.  But she knows you like it more, and she also knows that you don't think she likes it.  Therefore, she will in many cases use it as blackmail.

Again, disclaimer, I have never been in a relationship, and am completely unfamiliar with females, so take these answers as pure observations.  And we all know what happens when observe something!

Dunno; possibly, her insurance couldn't cover it, as it was more expensive (hey, Adili never said he'd do the procedure for free, after all.) Also, maybe it was a conscious effort on the part of the show, so that Leela didn't look 'better' with two eyes, so that nobody would support her keeping the extra eye. Just a thought.
