I probably can't pick just one episode as the best as IMO they are all fantastic and have loads of funny moments.......but if I had too it would be between Roswell that Ends Well; Amazon Women in the Mood and Time Keeps on Slippin'
They just have some of the best ever Futurama moments

I don't think there's any episodes that I didn't like! They're all great! But I have to say that The Sting is my favourite. The whole episode kept you wondering what'll happen next. The ending was great, and being a shipper, I loved that look into Leela's mind. However, I love Roswell That Ends Well (I was laughing constently), Parasites Lost (spectacular animation, voicing, well the whole episode was great) Jurassic Bark (never thought an animated si-fi comedy could make me so sad), Luck of the Fryrish (Great ending) and The Devil's Hands Are Idol Playthings (Just a really amazing episode)

Jeez, there's too many. I can't just pick one.

Very true "Go-a" there are just too many to nail down one. I have found that depending on what mood I'm in I will want to watch a certain episode. If I am thinking of my family Luck of the Fryrish is the episode I put on. If I feel like something ridiculous I will watch one of the Anthologies. Xmas time means an Xmas episode.

100% agree. Also if your in a childish, adolescent mood then Spanish fry. which is why its probably my favourite

Heh, forgot about Spanish Fry, that's a pretty good one to watch at 1:00am." But I forgot to say The Why of Fry and 300 Big Boys, I love that one mainly because I like the 100 cups of coffee bit (I'm adicted to Coffee and tend to drink at least three or more cups a day. Which explains my avitar) But, personally I love the one line Kif had- you know the one I mean "Precious hamburgers?" But I guess anything's funny when you watch it at 2:00am....

By the way, does anyone know what episodes won/were nominated for Emmys beside Jurassic Bark (Nominated) and Roswell That Ends Well (won)? That might be interesting to know....

It won Emmys for A Bicyclops Built for Two and Parasites Lost, and was nominated for A Big Piece of Garbage, Amazon Women in the Mood, The Sting, and Devil's Hands.

The Sting was nominated? It should have won.... But I believe that Parasites Lost deserved that Emmy. That was a good episode

It's because there is an identical thread to the one you started, so you cant even use the excuse that you couldnt find it, which just happens to be the very first thread that is shown. People starting threads just for the sake of it (like your other thread aswel) is just stupid so it was locked

Go to the shippy thread (in Human Resource Department) and I guarantee you 90% (if not more) of the posters there love "The Sting".

Alright, alright, I'll name some non-shippy episodes that I love.

Roswell That Ends Well
300 Big Boys
Godfellas
and so on....

There's alot of episodes I love. I can't choose only one.

Problem with Popplers for me, wasn't too centered on anyone character and the secondary characters like Fansworth, Zapp and Lurr were all on great form.

Welcome, new PEELers. Hopefully you're not as annoying as the recent set of n00bs we've been handed. (You know who you are.)

And Futurama-mama, the episode you're referring to is "War is the H-Word", and it's one of my favorites, too. For reasons that I don't care to explore--honestly, I don't quite understand them myself--I use the Zapp/Kif exchange about sexlexia in my day-to-day life far more frequently than I do other Futurama quotes.

Alright then :-)

Of course some are better than others, but 'Best ever Futurama Episode' is too subjective, this thread should have been called 'your favourite...'.

In my own humble, newbie, opinion that is.

Yes, you're right. You can't just declare one episode as the "Best Ever".  No one seems able to single out just one and even if we tryed I doubt we'd ever get everyone to agree that it's the best.

Speaking of "The Why of Fry": I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I wish DXC would write more episodes. I realize that all the scripts are room-written to a certain extent, but I feel as if the ones that Cohen is actually credited for are particularly engaging, and showcase most of the aspects that PatchChord is talking about. "Xmas Story" and SP3K (in addition to TWoF) are in my personal top ten(-ish), because they deliver all the things I love most about Futurama. It just seems indicative of the fact that DXC knows the show more keenly than anyone else on staff (with the possible exception of Matt Groening), and has a sense of who the characters are, and what the show itself is capable of.

[/end fangirl-ish rambling]

I just want the new season to beat the previous ones, like ITWGY did to 4, 4 to 3, 3 to 2, and 2 to 1. They've done such a great job of keeping the quality up (minus the unmentioned detours) that I want them to keep it up (and I know I'm not the only one).

Oh, yeah! I forgot about that one. Bender's line at the end of the song was one of his best.
