I don't really have any legitimate reasons, it's just a feeling I get. I'm unsure about it too, episodes based on sport don't often please me. We got plenty of great comedy out of the clip in "Fear of a Bot Plantet", so unless the storyline has an interesting sub plot, and a main story that's not too predictable I don't think it will be all that great.

Anyone in the US lucky enough to know if there will be a new episode on April 14th, please say there is...

I'm a bit torn on this one too. Benders part of Bender-heavy episodes are usually either massive hits (Godfellas, Raging Bender) or big disappointments (Bendin', Bendless, Pharaoh) so in that repsect it could go either way. On the other hand Elzar is one of my favorite sidecharacters, so it's nice to see him get some more development. Edit: The again, I have absolutely no knowledge about this "Iron Chef"-thingy that apparently forms the background, so I could be missing out on some neat jokes. Better go read up at Imdb.com. Edit edit: William Shatner Hmm, could go either way. But I'm hoping for a "Godfellas" kinda tour-de-force.

Hmm, that actually would make a good background for a Bender/Elzar episode. Gonna be neat to watch (although it is a Bender-centered episode), but first "A Leela Of Her Own" (which I'm sure is gonna great).

Sorry Otis, the episode April 14th is still "30 % Iron Chef". Maybe it'll air the 21st (still too early to tell, according to TVGuide.com).
But tomorrow it's "A Leela Of Her Own", and I still think this will be a great episode. The synopsis at CGEF sounded pretty good. More focus on Leela rather than Blernsball.

My bad, I meant to say April the 21st. Maybe tomorrow someone will know, please say it will. As for "A Leela of Her Own" I'll stay open minded.

According to TvGuide.com, the episode on April 21st will be 4ACV11 "Where No Fan Has Gone Before", and it will be the season 4 finale. Original Star Trek cast members spoof their series---and its devoted followers---in this inspired fourth-season finale.
After learning that the series was banned from Earth in the 23rd century (world leaders thought the Star Trek “movement” too threatening), Fry determines to retrieve episode tapes that were sent to a forbidden planet. “The world needs Star Trek to give people hope for the future,” Fry declares. “But,” replies Leela, “it's set 800 years in the past!” Still, they proceed to Omega 3, where Fry has a trivia showdown with someone claiming to be the ultimate Trekker. Guest voices: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, Walter Koenig and Nichelle

FUCK Fox are such bastards if they do this, that episode was meant to air on May 5th, And I was thinking that would be an early finale. I really wanted to see "The Route of All Evil", and it would be the only season 3 episode not to air this year if they don't show it this season. I can't believe it, damn them, now I might have to wait until 2003 to see it. No offence to anyone here, my anger is directed at Fox

When I saw it on TvGuide.com I though "What the ****? The running the finale already. Gee, that must be the shortest season a tv show's ever had."
Then I looked at CGEF, that gives a grand total of 12 episodes!! Way to go FOX, that's how you create a fanbase. Air 12 shows at random intervals. I' sure chipmunks could run that network better.

Hey, aren't they still going to show the rest next "season"? I don't get why everybody's upset unless the reason is that there won't be any "new" eps for a while. Then I get it.

Sure they might show them all next season but I doubt it. 12 new episodes in one year doesn't cut it, especially considering that most of them were hold overs that should have already aired. We get a total of three actual Season 4 production episodes this season, WOW, how amasing when technically by now if Fox hadn't screwed the show over we would be nearing the Season 4 production finale, "Idle Hands Are the Devils Playthings".
There will be more than 12 episodes left, what makes you think they will even show that many next season?
