It is in Australia. Our time-zone is ahead of the rest of the world. And let me tell you, these new episodes of Futurama have gone all depressive and preachy like the last seasons of MASH. Fry keeps on mourning the spiritual vapidity of "this bleak, emotionally barren future".

Zoidberg left Planet Express to return to his homeworld, but the crew later found out his ship was shot down by Omicronians and he was killed.
Oh Jeez... I know too much about MASH...

It's the rough pencil tests where the drawings are but together to get an idea of how it will look animated, before color. Yes they will be for new Futurama, and they will show us some future scenes...

I wonder if there'll be a new and different title sequence...

Better not be, that would suck. Something clool on the TV screen about it coming back would be enough...

I'd like to see the title sequence done in full 3D cgi.

Inconsiderate bastards should have opted to release it at a more convenient time for you, when you're layed-up in a hospital bed or something. Peh! Anyhow, we can always buy the DVDs. It'll help the cause. I know I'm buying them.

Yes! Finnaly! It's been way too long, like if they quit making Slurm and a couple years later they bring it back. Thank god for Slurm, and mostly Futurama.

Unless he blatantly stole your customized avatar, readymade doesn't really have to switch it. Annoying and confusing, yes, but true. T'was searching for new Futurama news on Google, and I came across this article: -SNIP-
Andre will compose a new song for each episode, and says "Class of 3000" isn't just for kids. He says it's "not so kiddie" because the writers from cartoons like "Futurama" are writing this one too. I wonder how that'll impact the current writing staff. I know Keeler and Cohen wrote the first movie together, but I was wondering if any other writers had been involved, or if any more would become involved for future movies and episodes? I know most of them branched out to do work elsewhere, but how many of the original writers are actually coming back?

Now if only they would bring back Slurm... er, I mean Surge. Then my life would be complete. I have to wonder if Surge soda went through a Slurm episode - somebody found out it was really made of worm excreta or something similarly horrible, and that's why it was pulled from the market. Seriously, I would kill for a Surge right now.

I haven't been readong this read. I just wanna say that I hope they don't make any episodes where they show clips from old episodes and claim it as a new episode.
That would be lame.

Did anybody even mention the films? We'll watch Bender's Big Score sooner than the new episodes

Using 'Synnapster™' technology I've managed to download Bender's Big Score straight from David X Cohen's brain before the film has even been completed. You can buy copies of the film off me for a scant fee of US$29.95

Coldangel, you're new at this, aren't you? SEL and I have already done that! Who do you think the writers got the script from? Well, DXC's brain, but not DXC himself!
I am rich!

Originally posted by Ralph Snart, July 2nd, 2006: Never to fear - part of the agreement is that Groening keeps complete control of the show. Futurama is Matt's baby and he'd rather it die a noble death than be polluted by network executives.
Also, my source states that most of the new 13 eps are being derived from scripts written for Futurama's 5th season and most importantly - DXC is back in the driver's seat.
The DVD's are more of a question mark at this point - as of last week there are major rewrites in progress. The original script was for one DVD and was to close a lot of arcs, but with the done-deal of 4 DVD's and the revival of the series, that script is now dated. There is still debate between Groening and DXC on how to present the DVD's - Groning is partial to a large mini-series (major plot including all 4 DVD's) with several subplots per disk.
Groening is rich beyond comprehension - he doesn't need the money. He never buckled to FOX in regards to the series and I doubt if he'll let CC demean Futurama.
Be happy - it's coming back. 18 months and counting down.

Yeah, so the movies are seperate entities to the new season. That gels with what's on Wikipedia with 'Straight to DVD' slated for 2007 and 'Season 5' slated for 2008. I'm glad - that means more Futurama for me to gorge myself on.
