Official Futurama Monopoly

Hello folks.

I wanted to let you know about the upcoming official Futurama Monopoly created by USAopoly. There's already a page where we can vote daily to define the 7th Token (in gold finish!) that will be a Collectors Edition item only available on presale.

The tokens:

• Bender's head
• Leela's boot
• Brainslug
• What If machine
• Seymour
• Planet Express Ship
• Hypnotoad

I was talking with the people of USAopoly, because Futurama has many possibilities of awesomeness in this board game, and I let them know about the PEEL topic started back in 2002 with many great ideas.

They told me Futurama fans from USAopoly are working closely with Matt Groening and his team for this project (hopefully). Since the product will be released on October 17, 2011, I guess they'll have some time to make it right. I say this because for example, the Nintendo Monopoly has characters instead of properties.. and that's not a real Monopoly game.

If you can, give your suggestions to @USAopoly on twitter, they seem to listen to customers.

Very excited though! I have too many monopolies...but I cannot pass up Futurama!

I just wish someone would come out with a Futurama trivia game, possibly with dvd.

I think I have Star Trek, Seinfeld, and Catopoly. I never even play them...they've become more collector items really. That and I would need someone to play with!

Futurama Monopoly?  Wow!   It's a reality!  Futurama is just getting better and better!  And more and more popular!    

In case nobody knew, the original Monopoly helped people manage money better during the Great Depression.  Maybe this Futurama version will help people manage money better in this Recession!  

Prof. Zoidy, I won't blame one bit if you threw away your Pokemon Monopoly for this one!     I think a Slurm Can would make a good token.    Next maybe a Futurama chess game!

I definitely voted for the Planet Express ship, because while they're all great choices, the ship represented a LOT of the show and is so crucial in many plot points, like every time they go somewhere. It's in a majority of the episodes if not all of them in some way or another.

I bet the 7th token will be Bender's head. It always seems like they use Bender a lot to represent Futurama.

Yes, I voted every (single) day for the Hypnotoad...  

I suppose many people voted trhu the link posted at Futurama official page on Facebook.. perhaps that's why Bender won, he is the most popular.

This, and when did David ever say America was the greatest? I promise we have a shitload of issues that need taking care of. Corrupt politicians are near or ARE the number one issue these days. Now quit fighting children and enjoy Futurama.

You know, I have the feeling that the first six tokens, the silver ones, will be the other things that were on the poll. If so, the what-if machine should have won as it is actually gold. Bender is only gold in universe 1.

I read about this a while back and was gutted that I'd have to import it given that imports of other USAopoly games to the UK seem to cost close to £50 including P&P. How glad I am that I'll be able to order it from their site! Amazing.
