It's a tad pixely. Do you have any graphic editing software such as Photoshop 6? It might help.

i think asking for warez on here is pretty much one of the most dangerous things to do.

How do you make block sigs? Do you need paintshop pro or something?

You can use any image editor. Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop are the usual ones.

I can understand not having huge pictures - I've seen forums where it takes weeks to load pages, and the same with the size of the pic/ no animation, but I don't see why we're not allowed colour at all.  Or so i've heard.

the problem is: people would certainly over-use the color-feature.
furthermore, it's more work for marc to create a ubb tag that makes colored fonts. using html isn't a very good idea as people who know html can do a lot of very stupid things with it. the safety of the board as such would be endangered.
hence: no colored text.
use a small pic with exactly the same font, only colored. add a transparent background and the illusion is perfect.

I think mArc needs to be more generous with these signature specifications.

Mitsui: To be useful with that opinion of yours, you might want to add what your suggestions of generosity would be. Just saying that doesn't really do much.
Eg. Do you want a bigger MB upload limit?

Yeah, it is basically the MB limit that gets me. Would 20MB be a totally high request? I dunno, but I think it could be higher  :).

Also, the pixel restrictions are fine in my opinion, but then again Im sure others won't be entirely happy with those.

Everytime I try to upload one of my sigs - which are always .gif or.jpeg format - this message comes up:

You may only upload *.gif, *.jpg and *.png files.

And I don't understand why...

Impy, check that the ".gif" of ".jpg" is written in lower case.  You can't upload the file if it's written ".JPG" or ".GIF".

PCC Fred: No, I've done all my file names in lower case - including the .gif thing.

All I can suggest is that you check that the dimensions and file size fall within the rules.  If they're okay then you'll have to ask mArc or Travis.

Yea, 20MB would be big, now kb...
Also, i'd double check dimensions and make sure it's all proper and working fine. Of course, avoid "'/"*()" ect. characters.
Yea, the current limit is a fraction small, how about a small bit larger, eh?

if at all, only in width. more height means more scrolling and that sucks.  :p

This is the kind of thing we have the test thread for.

Quoting Futurama on a Futurama board in your signature is tacky anyway.

I wouldn't say tacky, what's wrong with putting your favourite quote?

Also, that flame request will get you no-where.
