So... mArc, would you prefer all sigs locally hosted on PEEL? Is it still okay if I link to where I upload for my siggy? I just couldn't tell what you wanted or if that is the preference for siggies now...

Well, depends. If you are sure the server you're on doesnt do crap (eg, it's run by a bunch of 16 year olds on honolulu), you can go on serving it from there. If I see sigs from servers I don't trust, I'll mail these people. Otherwise it was also meant as a way for people without webspace to have a sig hosted.

Ahhh I see mArc. Yeah it should be fine. I put everything like my webpage on my ISP space where I get 10 megs for free, so I'll just keep it on up there cuz at least I can fiddle around and rid or upload my sigs as I feel the need.

for personal use like a sig most people will probably be fine. You aren't trying to "remarket" their work really. CGEF framegrabs are fine, too (but look for the size) as we have a disclaimer here too.

What happens when you try to get it through your profile but doesn't work either?

it does work if your signature does respect the size constraints mentioned above. Go to your profile, click the search button in the upload thing and enter C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\haleys_comet.jpg then hit the upload button. it gives you a code like [sig] 8892873[/sig] to enter in your signature block on your profile

Thats the problem when I put in  C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\haleys_comet.jpg and click upload a new window comes up with this http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/sigupload.cgi  and the sig doesn't show.

It should give you some response or error message. Wait a bit longer in case the upload takes time.

Did you click on the link?

Yeah, but the link isnt the same as when you upload. Clicking the link lacks parameters that are passed with the upload form. I tried it with your data though and it worked. Maybe try to upload and on that new page that opens, hit refresh and click yes in case it asks if you want to resend the data.

Would you like to open or save?

To make your text smaller, use "small" tags.

[ small ]small[ /small]

without the spaces becomes

small

Text in signatures should automatically be small.

the "this is your sig" page which comes up after uploading might be cached. Just ignore it. If the page comes up, the new sig is there.

I am thinking of making a Sig but i am not very good with pixels, so it might go wrong with the size.

how about you just skip the text below and make it this (remove spaces):
[ URL=http://rileysworld.cjb.net][ SIG]00001891[ /SIG][ /URL]
That would make your picture a link to your site and get you within the 120 pixel limit.

PS: also try to only post it once per page max, people just don't need to see the same sig multiple times a page

Personally it's a bit blocky. Also, i think it was mentioned that this was about sigs, not a test thread, why not use the test thread for it?
