Futurama Game Development Forum opened

We're working on a Fan-made Futurama adventure game. Although we don't have an actual site (yet) - we do have a forum now which is finally up. If anyone is interested, its on

Its kinda pointless, did you pay for this?
also I can see its in the making and hope to see it grow!

The forum might seem pointless from someone who is not part of the development crew, I persume. Since the forum is the place we work, it has a very big point. Until now everybody were seperate and talked only to me, and I "glued" everything up. With alot of people joining the project, its become really difficult and uneffective that the people who work on this have no connection to one another.

The forum certainly doesn't seem pointless to me. They'll have to discuss thier plans and whatnot, and PEEL probably isn't the best place to do that, so they can discuss on thier board. Good work Idan, keep it up!

Interesting.  What are you using (language, libraries and IDE-wise) to develop the game?

i read it and i thank you for your confidence in my musical abilities. I appreciate your offer for me to write a song with lyrics based on the Futurama theme for your game. Believe me, I'd love to do it but unfortunetly I dont have any means(currently) for recording(my recording equipment is broken). So i cannot record any songs and EMAIL them to you. Once again, I'm sorry and I hope that your game. But I'll be in contact if anything changes with my situation.

Ooops sorry for double posting and going totally 180degrees on ya dude. Right after I posted my last message, I went down in my basement to practice guitar and the next thing i knew i was "inspired" and began to write the song you requested. It sounds pretty damn cool and I'm actually excited about it. It's a bit rough and incomplete but here are the lyrics I got so far. I call the song, "Future Guy"

Future Guy:

VERSE 1:
New Years 99', there was this guy named Fry.
He had a sucky life like any other guy,

But then that night he was frozen,
caus' Nibbler said he was chosen.
Woke up a millenia later, in the year 3000,
with Leela and Bender, Having lots of adventures!! He's a Future Guy!!

BRIDGE:

I havent posted the chords or rhythem but it's a fast paced rock song. Pretty simple, but it sounds pretty cool.

What do you think of the lyrics for the first verse?

With Robot Revolutions and aliens runnin around

But Fry dont seem to mind Leela's one big eye,
and Bender stealin things: Wallets, Purses, and Rings.
Or Zoidberg's fake diploma, and Hermes crunchin numbers!, He's a Future Guy!!

good news idan. I have means to record the song. If everything goes as planned, you will have the song in just under a week.

EDIT: Here is the finished song. I'm not putting down the chords i used but here are the finished lyrics.

well, the theme actually leads into my song. It will start out with the Futurama theme on Guitar and merge into my song. And no, it's not a rap. It's a fast paced rock song. It sounds kinda like "Pinball Wizard" by the Who
