Right, I'm looking to start a Futurama website, but I've got a couple of problems. Firstly, I know that if I try and do it by myself I'll give up quite quickly, so I need some extra pairs of hands, so if anyone wants to help, feel free.

Secondly, I've noticed that the majority of Futurama websites are pretty similar, so I'm trying to think up a new twist to put on it to make it stand out from the crowd. Any ideas, anyone?

Here's an idea: Make a Hermes website.
I'll be willing to make some images, but its been a while since I've done any HTML.
Goodluck with any website idea you go for.  :)

A Hermes website would be...interesting. If I can come up with enough material to put on it, then sure I'll do it. If not, there's always Zoidberg and Zapp Brannigan to fall back on. So to speak.

A Zapp and Kif website would be neat, the las tone died several years ago.

Or you could focus on the technology of the future, the food/drinks, etc. It doesn't have to be a character site.

There hasn't been a good Hermes website ever I don't think (there was one, but I'm pretty sure it sucked)...  And the Zapp and Kif idea would be great, but do it about the early Zapp and Kif (they're funnier).  That old site was pretty good.... those were the days.

O, O! I wanna toss my self into another web-development project!
I dun care if it's about Hermes, Zapp and Kiff, even if it's a web-site about Omecron Persei 8, i'm up for *shrug* whatever!
And also i can do XHTML+CSS with no problem. Just check out http://wolfe.zapto.org  (WARNING: may be a bit slow).

i used Web-o-Rama (not a piss take of futurama) u can download it from www.cnet.com  for free. ive used it to build my own website. (http://roddney.my-bulldog.com) and you need no experience with html. although you can use it.
all you need then is webspace

You could use it to point out every character that's appeared in the background and their re-appearances in other episodes. Literally every un-named character.

How about a site "made by Zoidberg" in which he reviews the food of the future? That way you could have a site featuring one of the best characters and you could attempt a site that hasn't been done before: A food-themed one.

Perhaps.

HTML makes as much sense to me as something I've never done before, because I haven't, but I'd love to help with the Futurama part.

I got another idea.  because futurama isn't coming back (face life people) you should do it's grave site.  yahknow, just a simple one page site with a tombstone with the original and final airdates, plus maby some sad music.

These two sound the most interesting ideas, and probably the ones I would visit in real life.

As i've already said in the "more visiters on your site" topic, having a french section on your site would be good for getting more visiters. those guys are potty about Futurama too...
