Hi

DXC mentions a website dedicated to Amy in one of the comentarys (think S3EP10 WTBR)
He says something like: cantgetenoughamywong.com. Does anyone know what site he was talking about?

He was talking about ANSTATMAW (Ain't No Such Thing As Too Much Amy Wong).

He just got it mixed up with CGEF (Can't Get Enough Futurama).

I love the site, expect me to parody that site in some way as I did with CGEF, FSAC, and TLZ

Because she is.

She's a cartoon character? I'd never have guessed!

Seriously though, that argument is kind of lame. Of course she's a cartoon character, but it isn't as if people who like her in the show don't know that so what's the prob Bob?

I don't know what you're specifically mentioning, but it seems like it went both ways.  Initially, the Wong parents introduced amy & kif.  Later in the series, they seem to have forgotten that even, and Amy introduces (re-introduces?) her parents with Kif.  Gullible is spelled G U LL I B L E.  Oh and ummm... what else to nitpick in here? ANSTATMAW ownz pretty hardcore, mostly because it's been around for so freakin long.  Also, Amy was funny because she was dumb and she was a slut (I thought she got along rather well with Fry), and Kif was a well foiled character to Brannigan.  The problem I have is that when their characters fall in love, it detracts from the characteristics that made me enjoy them in the first place.  And thinking cartoon characters are hot is just a fetish, it's not necessarily dumb, but you're entitled to your opinions.  I've seen stranger things.

I think Amy Wong is a decent character.  I like her.  I've seen the website about her.  It's just pictures of her and all the outfits she wore in the show.

I, myself have noticed that in the show her parents introduce Amy to Kiff.  Then in the later episodes, her parents seem to have forgotten that they introduced her to Kiff in the first place.  Must have been a continuity error.

Okay, once more from the top for those who missed it the first 1537 times we covered this topic: Amy's parents never introduced Kif to Amy (or vice versa), they introduced the captain of the huge and luxurious (and as a consequence prestigious) passenger liner, Titanic. They never saw beyond the captains badge on Kifs chest, therefore they didn't recognise him later, since he was no longer captain or important/powerful (even considering he is XO of the DROOP flagship).

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the previous (double) poster, I'd like to ask if anyone knows what happened to this site. The various on-going features seem to stop at different points in the series.

Was the 'Goofs' feature, for instance, with its commentary on the episode by episode portrayal of the PE ship ever extended past Where No Fan Has Gone Before?

Its a bit disturbing to see so many inactive fan sites that are still up (ie accessable via the internet) but which don't have any 'closure' to them (or even just a good-bye/moving onto other things/lost interest/etc. sort of message). Who still pays to keep them on-line, I wonder?

I think that Andy just sort of lost interest in the site and stopped updating it.  I think he posted on Peel a few times after he stopped updating the site, but eventually he stopped posting here as well.  He never posted on Peel much to begin with, so it's hard to tell if he left abruptly, or if it was more gradual, but it probably had to do with Futurama ending.  I think he probably moved on to other things.

That part of the site was actually from a previous website called the Planet Express Service Station, which focused on the Planet Express ship itself.  Andy included the material from the old site on ANSTATMAW, but I don't think that he ever added anything new to that section once he started the new site.  I guess he just found Amy more interesting than the ship.  Can't say I blame him.

I had always assumed that he did the Ship portion of the site himself... how odd...  I have the whole Zapp&Kiforama site in a zip file on my harddrive somewhere... Maybe I could talk to Scotty and steal the old Say Argh! stuff too....

You're not wrong; he did do it himself.

What happened was: Andy made a website about the ship.  Then, later, Andy made another website about Amy Wong; but instead of abandoning the old site to the ravages of cyberspace, he absorbed it into the new site.  That way, you get two sites for the price of one.

I was reading the 'Goofs' section about some of the continuity errors featuring the Planet Express ship on that site a few months ago; it's pretty funny. There's an amazing number of inconsistencies.
