That's cos all the other PEELers are too lazy to send them to me. I don't want to use any pic that the artist may not want shown on the site... gotta respect their right to privacy and all.

A word of warning. This is the message I just got from freewebs when I was uploading a file.

Non-Premium FreeWebs Users can only have up to 50 files. To upload an unlimited number of files, please upgrade your account to Premium User status by signing up for any service from your Premium Services area.

You want to find another host...

Well, I only have about 28 files, and if worst comes to worse I can move the site elsewhere.

Anyone know any inexpensive hosts, preferrably with your own domain name (ie www.futuramafandom.net)?  I want as much MB of storage as possible...

If you're willing to pay, SmooveNet offer some fairly cheap (ofcourse "cheap" is a relative term) hosting for fansites (used by TLZ and FSAC among others).

What exactly do you need hosted? If they're just pics and other < 5mb files i'll host them, i'll never use 50mb, and I have u/l bandwidth, you can have 40mb of my space if you want, If i ever go over 10mb i'll be surprised...
If you need the whole site hosted, you can still link to mine for pics etc. I really couldn't care less.

And despite what i have seen people say, you can hotlink Tripod stuff, you just have to know how

As I said before, I am pretty new to website making, so I have no idea how long certain amounts of MB last... blame my naivety.

Thank you, Rage Dump and Archonix, for your offers, and thank you Teral for the hosting suggestion.

Latest on the site is that I've recieved some fan art and a fan fiction to put up... I am working the fan fiction through a simple process called "spelling and grammar check". It should be up as soon as I've filled in all the missing commas and periods. Fan art will be up somewhat sooner.

For those who are considering sending their work(s) in, remember to try and get all the punctuation in before you send it... I am a bit of an English freak and correct it upon sight.

If/When you want something hosted, mail it to sleek85@iprimus.com.au i don't check that address really often. (about once a week) So if you need it uploaded quickly, tell me.

And 40mb should last you as linog as you need unless you resort to video. Here are some filesize examples

An Average sized Mp3 - 3-4mb
A wallpaper in .jpg - 150kb-200kb
A 3-second uncompressed 640x480 video - 67.5mb
I just made one of them 
A twenty minute video, well compressed - 40mb-200mb

So i don't think Mp3s, fanart, fiction etc. will cause you any problems anytime soon. If you do want to use video, make sure it's compressed, and compressed well.

If you adertised it better in your sigs and trade buddy buttons with other sites you would get more traffic and thus more submissions.

yeah, looks a bit dead doesn't it. The problem is that I don't have time to do anything on it right now (though I have a plan to revamp and advertise the crap out of it over christmas)

It's not really my site and Asy seems to have given up on it.

Seriously, check it out in the new year and there is a good chance it will be up and running again. I don't want to advertise too much, cos it's a bit bad to use someone elses site to advertise a 'rival' one.

I've added in a Futurama Firsts section, which outlines first apearances in futurama. I thought it would be good add some content to the site that I hadn't seen elsewhere. I would apreciate any feedback on the pointlessness of this task  (and let me know if anyone has done it before)

Asylumn, do you still want to do the site? I could take over and try and find someone else to do content.

Xmple: since you are so 'vocal' is there anything you would like to see on the site. I don't really want to do general futurama stuff because all that is pretty much covered by CGEF and TFP. Origanly it was designed for fanfics, but none have turned up. If you have any ideas, they would be welcomed 

Also, if you are a fanfic writer (or a fanartist) we would love to display your work. please email it to me, you can use the email link on my profile or go to the site and submit it.

If Scans are accepted then you should have no trouble getting art. Just advertise a little in General Fan art.

As for fics you just in the "FanFic release date" or "FanFic rewievs" threads.
