Looks like Kev beat me too it, then again I have been on a subtle PEEL hiatus, but I'm back if only temporarily. Thanks goes to Kevin, Jamie, Andy, Kryten and the numerous others I bugged while the design was progressing through to what appeared yesterday, coincedentally on FSAC's 2nd Birthday.

Its a nice layout as such, but the grey/metally background for the title and links column in my opinion is ugly. If this was replaced with say, a block of colour that looks good, then I would think the layout would be greatly improved.
As I say just my opinions I wanted something that looked a bit different to every other Futurama Site, but everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I was expecting some Flak about the Metallic background.

Actually it's pronounced champagne. Looking good. I like the new menu system. Easy to navigate, and you don't have to scroll to get to different menu-groups. The grey color lloks good in the header. Not as fortunate around the buddy-buttons. Frank Sinatra: He did it his way. In conclusion: great work. 2 thumbs up.

Couple of quick comments: The grainy morphing affect on the menu is kind of annoying when you're trying to browse the site as quaickly as possible. Kind of bloated. IMO, not needed. Is the 'add to favorites' ever used on sites? no one ever clicks it. If you take it out, it might look less cluttered. Also, the chatroom, guestbook, and pition buttons are also kind of an offset to the layout. No one really signs guests books anymore, and if they do, its from getting the link from the nav bar normally. As for the chatroom and such, up to you. I think the layout might look a little 'smaller' if you shrink the images a little. Leela, amy, bender and fry seem really big on my screen even at high res. If you keep the top header the same size, i think itd be good shrinking the footer just a little. cause it takes up half the screen, and no one really cares about footers. "Whats up" is also pretty big, and IMO could be centered better to the left right under the update. The blue boarder on the ad is annoying. On the right side where you have buddy sites, is it really needed to have two stat buttons, an art.com button, and a top50 site button? and 'any damn browser'? That stuff bloats the website, makes it load slower, and isnt on topic to futurama. I'd scratch it if i were you. Now, on to the sections: I dont really like the way when you click an image, it "morphs" into a window. all this just seems to distract me from the art and makes the site load a lot slower. And, my last rant is that ' http://sites.planetexpress.dk/' hasnt updated in a year. so why have him listed? But all in all, good site it just seems to load slowly on my cable modem. </end of rant>

Now that you've seen the *swishy* new look to FSAC, which happens to be my first ever attempt at a website design, so I never expected perfection, plus I'm working on a few changes, listed above when time permits.
I'd love to get some new submissions of Fan-Art/Fan Fiction and the likes.
It's not just a Paul's Art site anymore, it's become a General Futurama Fan Art Site and without submissions it could implode, the same goes for any Fan Site as well, be it CGEF, OAOB, TFP etc etc.

It's just an easy way of making a wallpaper if I can't be bothered to draw out the characters myself. If you started to encorage proper art work then maybe I'd send some stuff in
I take it you don't send work to other sites then? Because all fan sites are in the same sphere when it comes to art. I do promote non-scan art work, otherwise, the submitted art area wouldn't be full of the diverse nature of talent there is, yourself included. As for me, I've admitted in the past that my hand drawings resemble works done by Dali. I don't intend on changing the name of the site, as that is what it best known as.

This seems more a debate on the worth scan art/fanfiction than FSAC :hpmf:
