CGEF in chaos

I just went over to CGEF.  Most of the graphics wouldn't appear, instead there was just the "red x" symbol.  Also some wierd popup message appeared telling me I'd won something.  What's going on?

Another thing.  I'm still locked out of the chat room.  I keep getting this "secuirty exception cannot connect to..." message.

The pop-up's gone now, it's just the red x's.

it worked for me... until i hit refresh. now its the same as PCC Fred says. server problems?

I've some trouble with the menues: the writings on the left has the same color of the background (blue) so I have to highlight them to read them or revealing the links by moving the mouse pointer on

Yep, I'm having no problems with CGEF now.

Still can't enter the chat room.  I haven't been able to get in for nearly a week.

Speaking of the chat room, ALL WEB PORTALS seem to be offline now. NOTHING works.

Is this permanent, or are you working on it?

I know I can log in with MIRC - I always do anyway, but it was still nice to be able to attract people through the web page. They didn't have to download anything, just typed in a name and off they went.

Are those days gone?

They aren't really down, just slow. I changed to the second server on the network, maybe it works some better for you now.

It's been a week now.  I still can't get in the chat room.  I sat here for ages before getting the "security exception" and "can't connect" messages for the zillionth time.  And I don't understand all this stuff about changing servers.

Can someone explain to me in words of no more than three letters how the f*ck to get in the chat room?

Try cleaning your internet cache and reloading the chat page. If that doesn't work, www.mirc.com  download it and read the mini faq there on how to connect. server and channel are mentioned above.

CGEF works fine for me...
and i think its aboot time I caved in to peer pressure and downloaded Mirc.

mirc is a wonderful program. i cant be arsed to bother with slow loading java clients.
