I've got a conundrum. My page, The Futurama Guide (Home to the ORIGINAL guide pages): www.geocities.com/shadowstar_freakboy/futuramaguide.html  is taking extremley long to load, thanks to the mini pics of guides. So, I've been thinking. Should I replace those pics with framegrabs from specific episodes? Then I was thinking to have those framegrabs as like a border for the site, but that's make it take even longer to load. What do you think?

You can keep only the Quick Bar with the 1st,2nd,3rd, 4th season and the "Futuram Extras", and inside each season the list of the episodes, each link goes down...directly to the episode title and mini pic.

You can keep all the Quick Bar in the main page too!

Shadowstar, no offence, because I did the same thing, but youre acting like a newbie!  :D

do NOT resize pictures with the html tag!  you MUST resize and save the thumbnail and img tag it!  youre loading the ENTIRE image as a thumbnail.  your page with thumbnails is 7Mbs big!  geo wouldnt even let me load an image after it was done, because it exceded the limited bandwidth!

download irfranview and resize the images to something like 100/60, or whatever you like.  that will make the images that are 400k, be 4k.  making the page like 200k instead of 7MB.

the 7mb page took me 4 minutes to load, and im on a cable modem!  7 mbs on a modem would take 2 hours to load.

that, or just use text links.

If space is a problem, create multiple Geocities accounts, use the current one as a directory, and whatever other junk you want, and make a new account for each season. This will keep you from maxing out on your bandwidth.

Can't do that, Chump. It's expressly against Geocities Code of Conduct. They're not afraid of shutting people down to ignore it.

Not a good idea.
