I realise there is already an Infosphere related topic, but that was on a specific issue. This topic shall remain more general. But first of all, let me inform you of the good news. Since its humble beginnings, the Infosphere have had issues with its placement, especially due to increase size and visitor flockings. Indeed, the Infosphere have demanded more from its host than most other Futurama related sites. For these reasons, the Infosphere have changed hosts on several occasions, but they have always felt 'temporary', and not until now have the Infosphere found its true home. A virtual machine purchased in the German Hexonet (so it is hosted in the same country as PEEL and CGEF, how you like them bananas?), with enough firepower to maintain this lone wiki for all its needs. In addition to that, the data centre grants us (or more specifically; me) full control for a Debian 4.0 machine, so now any down time can be fully blamed on me. I hope to keep it in the five nines. However, such a commodity does not come cheap. In fact, 33EUR per month with taxes. So, we are currently looking for people, among other entities, willing to donate for the future of the Infosphere. The new IP for the Infosphere is now: 88.80.201.89. So either, cache refresh your DNS or edit your hosts file. Alternatively, the new site can be found at fut.sviip.dkAnd how do you know you're on the new site? The big notice at the top! -- The Infosphere.orgFor details see: http://theinfosphere.org/Infosphere:Conference_Table#New_Server.21

Just thought I should update you people on our new design we (I mean me) are working on: More information on the imageMore information: http://theinfosphere.org/Table:Reskinning%3FBy the way, anyone willing to try it out early and common on issues, may go to http://new.theinfosphere.org/ , change their theme in Preferences under Appearance (which may appear odd in the Monobook skin) to Vector. Warning, however: new.theinfosphere.org uses different software than the regular wiki, and your preference will not be compatible with the other wiki's software. So the other wikis may appear odd to you afterwards. Not to worry though, the intend is for new.theinfosphere.org to replace the regular wiki eventually.

More double posting! As I have now updated the skin for our wiki. If you have an account, be sure to change your skin to "Vector" in your preferences. http://theinfosphere.org/

interesting new skin, but there's no lines in the top to see the tabs, and also, the tabs have a lot of height for some reason
The height is due to the fact that search bar is now on the same level. I assume an additional reason is because the Vector skin uses gradient lines in its usual skin, so the tabs do not seem so high usually. I am personally on both sides when it comes to top borders. I personally think the high lines make up for the lack of top borders. And I like the flow from the content into the background. On the other hand, it could be used for non-active tabs, i.e. tabs not being the current page. Here is how the Vector skin would look without modifications.

I see, but in the original vector skin the lines of the tabs fade into the white bg (because the lines are actually images).. perhaps the lines in the infosphere should fade into the dark blue of the bg, that way it would look better and the height of the tabs will be unnoticeable.
I might consider it. For now - however - I believe it won't hurt that much to look into this when I have the time.

By the way - does your respected Infosphere have anything to do with this site - www.theinfosphere.ru? Your offspring, maybe? Knowing Russian better than English, I couldn't help noticing they have much in common.)) ps. And many thanks to comrade Mini-me for completing the IWGY transcript!

If I were to recite an entire episode from memory (which I probably could) in the middle of the street, is that stealing?
What do you think? Ask those greedy ugly FOX lawyers maybe? Remember, several years ago they somehow managed to close a number of fan-sites, which didn't do anything evil too... Hmm, I was brought up in the USSR, where noone ever cared of any copyrights, intellectual properties and such, but I thought you mighty capitalists might know better. Just have a look at the bottom of this very page: "Futurama" TM and copyright FOX, its related entities and the Curiosity Company. All rights reserved. Any reproduction, duplication or distribution of these materials in any form is expressly prohibited. Isn't that supposed to cover the transcripts too?
