I decided to make a new thread about Space Station Futurama, since the old ones seemed a bit offtopic.... also, I wasn't the first poster in them, and the urls they link to are old and incorrect.

If you're not familiar, I'm the webmaster on a futurama site called Space Station Futurama aka SSF.  You can find this website here: http://www.ssfuturama.cz

I'll try and change that link if our website changes domains again.

Anyways... it's a Futurama website that specializes in flash related things, including and especially games.  I've started working on it again recently... fixing old pages and the layout and whatnot.  I've always been pretty proud of the website; note that I didn't start it.  It's also a bilingual site.  Most pages can be viewed in either English or Czech.

I traded buddy icons with Smarty on her new Zoidberg website Zoidberg's Dumpster (I highly recommend a visit) and added a few more buddy icons to websites that are still alive.  I know I haven't been very active in a long time, and I've missed a lot of emails for requests and what not over the years.  If anyone is still interested in switching buddy icons with SSF, you can check out SSF's buddy stash and send me an email via SSF's contact form or directly to nickssf@gmail.com (my email).

Lastly, I installed an IRC applet on SSF today.  You can find it through the main page in the top news article.  I think it's pretty spiffy, although I still want to do a few more minor adjustments; it connects to #futuramachat like the one on PEEL and CGEF, but I think it looks better, and it has way more options.  I want to thank Gopher for introducing me to the PJIRC applet (the one SSF uses) and the people over at PJIRC for making and maintaining such a fine applet.

I appreciate any comments or suggestions about SSF that anyone may have in the future, thanks for reading, and hopefully you enjoy the website. :)

Lovely new webchat applet. Also, #SSFchat is now up and registered. You're on the SOP list. Email me if you need the room password. Had to register it in case somebody less philanthropic decided to do so.

I  already have #ssf registered, and the applet points to it.  I actually registered #ssfchat before #ssf and discussed it with a new webmaster; he thought #ssf was better.  I could switch it to #ssfchat if it works out better though, and I wouldn't mind you having it registered. :)

I've been working on a newish halloween layout for SSF... it's for the most part complete... there's more stuff I wanted to do, but I've only got a week until halloween and not much time to do it in.

http://www.ssfuturama.cz/home.php

What's nice though, is the way ssf works is that it automatically cycles through the layouts depending upon the time of the year... so the work I put in for this year's halloween will still be there next year. :)

I released Baron Bender's BiPlane Adventure on SSF today, and everything seems working well.  If you're not familiar, this was the secret game on the end of my Corruption Game I used as propaganda for last year's [wikipeelia]Corrupt Despot[/wikipeelia] competition.  Comments would be appreciated. :)

Incidentally Books... I accidentally made the cave more easily accessible; it's still a secret, but if you play around with it, you should be able to find it. ;)

I think your site is really good winna. Remember, you also updated it with Exploding Bird in a Ball (in memory of Doctor Thunder).

I think Morgan was really worried about this... but one of the webmasters on the czech side of SSF noticed it was down and put it back up.  However, it got domain trolled, so the domain has changed:

winna, thanks for letting us know about the domain change! I'l change it at TFP today.

And is good to see SSF still open after 10 years! That's the spirit that kept Futurama alive all these years.

Thanks Javier.  I wish I updated more, but I've been pretty out of the loop for awhile with weird real life what-nots.  Honza of the Czech side of SSF is mostly to thank for getting everything back up btw. :)

One thing I don't like about the SSF chat applet, I keep having problems connecting to the damn server

When I get internets to myself again, I'll probably revamp the whole chat applet to provide different server usages.  For now though, you should be able to send a server command to find a stable server you can connect to.

This is a server list for euIRC: http://www.euirc.net/en/server_admins.php

When the applet comes up and doesn't connect, type this command:

/server [server]

Replace [server] with an appropriate server, for example you might type:

/server irc.inn.at.euirc.net

I believe the default server for the applet is irc.sick-du.de which is a forward server that #fc has always used and randomly picks one of the available servers for the network #fc resides on.  I think mArc owns it, but I can't remember anymore.  I usually get a good connect with irc.inn.at.euirc.net, but I'm aware that you live in a different part of the world Morgan, so you may have to check out the server list and figure out which server works best for you.  Some of the servers ban foreign addresses on connect too.... anyways, good luck. :)

I'm currently using the chat applet from www.euirc.net and I hardly get disconnected from there. The downside of the chat applet is that I can't click on the "long" links. It's kinda hard to explain but... yeah :)

Thanks for your help anyways :D

I use the euirc applet most often too, so I actually completely understand.
