Nope. Neither is the proprietor, apparently.

Exactly. If ours was a forum as well, I'd change it. Our focuses (foci?) are entirely different, there's no risk of overlap.

No idea what this part means.

Additionally, as I pointed out before, the "Infosphere" is (presumably) a trademark of Fox, Groening, or somebody. Neither one of us holds  the trademark, so there's no legal ramifications either way, unless they come from Fox, in which case we're both in trouble. But my lawyer friend has informed me that it would be highly unlikely, as pursuing such a case would cost them lots of money, and only be a minor inconvenience to me.

And if they want to put a link to their infosphere on our infosphere, that's cool too. All they have to do it edit this page and add it. Actually, anyone can add a site to other Futurama-based sites.

Well, that is only a forum attached to GTW's other site, www.brainspawn.tk
I'll add that for him, and then tell him.

Edit: I just added a page on Leela's assumed ex-boyfriend, Shawn.

If anyone wants to add the Infosphere(: A Futurama Wiki) to their site, and they like those little buttons, you can use the one in my signature. I might make a new one, though, since this one was made back when it was just called "FuturamaWiki".

As a community site, if someone doesn't like something... they'll just change it. That's part of the beauty of it. And it goes both ways: If you see something that you think is wrong, you don't have to send an obnoxious letter to the webmaster asking them to change it-- You can just change it yourself.

Awesome.

The downside is, of course, that someone might just wreck up our work for fun... I hope this does not happen a lot. So far, it's been nice.

It's happened once or twice already. Pretty much as soon as I started posting the link around. Luckily it can all be easily fixed.

Well, the Infosphere has continued to grow and now has over 120 articles, with more coming every day. We lost some contributors but gained some more.

Accidentally hit submit prematurely. Anyway.

The site is growing and can only pick up momentum. Come by and check it out, we could always use more contributors and even if you are too lazy to contribute, you can always browse around, there's much to see already.

I would like to add a bender utilities in the Wiki, but I need some help to get what exactly Bender can do, every fonction, which may be really hard. Do you think it deserves to be done ?

You could probably find a thread here on PEEL where people were discussing exactly that subject.

Regardless, you don't have to know all of them to add a list; you can just start the list with the ones you can think of and other contributors will add more.

I'd recommend adding it as a new section on Bender's page, so you could copy the style from the list of alternate Benders. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, you don't have to know everything about Futurama to be a positive contributor.

Gopher : Ok, thank you   :)

So i'll try doing this tonight, I need to take a look at how to do thoses things.

EDIT : I just added it, with a couples of functions. Hope people will help to add them  :)

Also, should it be useful to show in which episodes those functions appears ?

Fry: No, if you don't log in it just shows the IP address you connected from but you can still make changes.

Of course, no info is required except an email address to create an account, and you can rest assured we won't be selling your email address to anyone.  ;)

Sk8: Yeah; you could go with a compact textual listing, or integrate a screenshot + detail list like the ones in "Sewer Mutants" or "Minor Characters". For now I'd go with a short text-only listing, formatted something like this:
*Extensomatic arms: Bender's arms and legs are capable of extending to many times their normal length. First appearance: [[Some episode's title]]

And in the future, questions about how pages should be done can be posted in the attached discussion page; me and the other major contributors and sysops keep an eye out and if needed everyone can contribute to the discussion. (Not all contributors on the Infosphere are PEELers.)

Ok so i'll go progressively, doing a smal list first, then adding all the infos after.

Note that I may do some errors, but if so, try correcting me please, since english's not my first langage.

Do a search for the page you want to add.  The search results should come back saying: "No page with this exact title exists, trying full text search."  The words "exact title" should be a link.  Click on it.  Write in {{subst:PlanetArticleTemplate}} in the large textbox.  Write "planting seed" as the summary.  Then submit the page.  Now the page exists; edit it, using the help provided inside <!-- --> .  You'll only be able to see the help if you try to edit the page.  When you are done updating it, make sure to remove {{Working}} from the top of the page, so other people know it is ok for them to update it.

That should do it.  Did that make sense?  This link may help clarify what I was saying.

Edit: I screwed up the link before

The preferred method to create a new page is to first create a link to the page on another page, then follow the link to create the page. This avoids creating orphan pages (pages that aren't linked).

Yeah, I actually use the Wanted Pages to see what pages need to be added.  I've added quite a few pages this way.  I've been working on the breadth "requirement" on the Current Events page.

Another great method to creating pages. "Wanted Pages" are obviously already linked, so there's no possibility of orphaning them.

Well, the page is growing steadily. And as I am currently chasing the blues in the evenings, I do about an episode a day. With a little luck, "Future Stock" will be todays work. I feel I am doing quite well on the wiki, but as English is not my first language, there may be a few errors along the way - don't hesitate to correct them.

By the way: who is that Dr. *Z-berg or something who started a dozen stubs that only had a sentence each? To say it with Fry's words: "This is weak!"

I deleted most of them. I didn't ban him, since it isn't really vandalism; he's obviously trying to help, but he's unfamiliar with the way things are done. One or two of those stubs were also orphans, so he's clearly using the search-then-create method or similar.

I'll be happy just to write in little bits and pieces that need clarifying but I can't promise giant essays about the episodes. Like I attempted the Earthicans description ^___^

EDIT: Oh and I'm also adding who does what voices, so anyone care to help here's a good place that has almost all the names listed and the actors that play said parts;

I did all of the ones with Unknown links.  That site is a great resource!

Edit: You shouldn't have to worry about writing long essays.  When there is something already there, people are more likely to expand it.  I'm not one for writing long essays either  :).
