To all:
I'm sorry if you have seen this billions of times...but I'm trying to get publicity...
Brad
Greetings, fellow 'Futurama' fans.
Let us take a look at the last episode of Season three in a possible scenario, as it would be in 'TV Guide'...
---------------------------------------------
7 PM: FOX:
'Futurama'
It's trouble for the crew when Fry falls in love with a robot duplicate of a current starlet. (Last first run episode of the series.)
---------------------------------------------
This seems impossible, doesn't it? 'Futurama', one of FOX's few quality shows, done in so early? It can't happen for AT LEAST a couple seasons, right?
If we do not do something, this scenario is likely to be the future.
If we fans do not work together, there will be no more Fry to make us laugh...no more Bender to ROTFL at...no more Leela to gawk at...and no more New New York to visit. How could we let this happen, to not know if Leela will know her race's history? Not knowing what could happen to the Earth in the plausible future? and of course, to not know if Fry and Leela will finally get together?
The show has been taking a beating since its debut, we all know this. After the show debuted, it was moved to Tuesday. Then, after that, after there were no repeats during the summer, they moved it to where it belonged: Sundays at 8:30.
But ever since that piece of garbage (at least in my views) called 'Malcolm in the Middle' kicked out 'Futurama' and also took it off the air for nearly two months, the show's rating were cut in half. If we allow 'Futurama' to stay at 7 PM, it will be smothered by football and taken off the air FOR GOOD. (Remember 'The World's Funniest'?)
We have the option to fight back, and tell FOX that there needs to be changes.
I have opened a site dedicated to this purpose. However, turn-out has been low. I have decided to let the Fan-o-Rama citzens know it exists because, together, we just MIGHT make a difference.
Visit
http://www.crosswinds.net/~algebra/savefuturama/main.html to see this site. There, you will find a messgae board, poll, a petition, and other things to try to have 'Futurama' fans join forces to help the show, before it's too late.
This task seems hard, impossible even, but maybe, JUST maybe, if we can all pull together, we might make a difference. It will take hard work, commitment, and the combined efforts of many, but if you were all to check it out, and spread the word to other fans who could do the same, it might be done!
The fate of 'Futurama' is in our hands. We can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Brad Rousse
