website news... want it??

i was wondering whether people would want a site dedicated to futurama site news. not like pr, just news... tell me if you'd want it, and suggestions are always welcome. i'd appreciate it if i also got some section ideas too...

That sounds cool.  I think a good idea for a site is to have it a news site and a opinion site kind of like The Simpsons Channel http://simpsons.lardlad.com/.   They give you web news but they also have sections for people to express their ideas.

Like Jason, I could care less about the site opening from a competition point of view.  But really, PR already reports website news, as does the Top 50 and several other sites.

And I don't see how you will get a "whole new aspect of futurama on the web" going.  If PR doesn't focus on Futurama on the web, I'd really like to see what your site will be like.  Because seriously, that is virtually every section of Planet Roadmap: Futurama sites and info on the web.

But, if you think it is worth it, by all means go ahead and make the site.  Are you sure though that you will maintain it?  Because you did open NBN, then give it to Yuha, then it closed.  And you did work for the Oscars, but you always said you didn't really care about updating it, and neither did the other webmasters, and it closed. 

And your Tinny Tim site you planned was closed even before you made it.  So, do you think you can keep this site open for a few months at least?

heh. u got a point there. but, like you've got a point, so do i. first of all, i quit nbn cause of yuha basically. even though he doesn't want to admit it, i did like 80% of the work, and he did about 20%. yet he still wanted 50%/5o% ownage, and respect.
The oscars was basically a rip of PR right from the start. i didn't really care that much for it, and i didn't really know that anyone cared for it...
The Tinny Tim site (which i was gonna call "too poor to afford a name"  [if anyone wants to start that site, i already have a layout, and sound archive finnished for it]) wasn't a good idea from the start. like jason (pr) mentioned, it would've been a small site, and one that i would've probably ony updated every 5th episode or so (when tinnt tim is in em).. as you see, i have my reasons...
also, i had this plan of a news site since i quit nbn. i also got a lot of negative feedback about it back then too  (about being like pr, and such)... but the other day i got some really good ideas concering it. some really origninal sections, ones that will probabbly bring people back, and back. so aaron. who know's if this site will be a failure?? but all i can say is that even though the idea might sound bad, it's probably my best idea ever

Jwso, will this new "idea" last more than your previous ones?
I mean, your Nibbler site (!) lasted like... um, one month, your Tinny Tim site (AFAIK) never opened, and now this.
Are you aware that to have an idea for a site is not enough?
We've seen recently serveral sites opening and closing in less than two months.

We could say that a site it's like a puppy. Do you know what I mean? I'm too tired right now to explain it, but if you think a little you'll get the idea.

Update Concerning News Site: I've been talking through ICQ qith Juuso, and from what I've gathered, he's working realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, hard, and it seems a lot like it's gonna be called V2News. Sorry Juuso if you didn't want people to know this.. but you didn't tell me or anything..

heh. it's not really a problem  the layout is basically done, and i really love it, but unlike alot of other sites i'm not gonna give out alot of previews.  it'll be up before the new season of futurama starts though.
