I always thought that this image cleaned up, and printed on a black t-shirt would be cool.

I think this would be a pretty cool (and funny) idea for a T-Shirt.

I printed one of the images from the 2002 calendar on a shirt, it's the one of Zapp with wings with Leela in his arms. I just loved that pic. I also have a Simpsons one from the 2001(?) calendar where Kang and Kronos enslave them. The pics at CGEF and TLZ from the calendars and promos aren't that great so you might want to use a scan

Ask this guy if you can use this picture he drew.

Oh yeah, the customary: "Or else you're a homosexual"...

And yeah: "Unless you're a homosexual".

I want one!  ;)

Except the title should be, "What are you, gay?", since that's actually a Futurama quote.

What about the promo pic of Bender and the Robot Mafia?  Or what about the Futurama logo with Fry, Bender, and Leela on it?  Those are the ones I made and got for myself.

I wasn't suggesting a quote for the t-shirt. I just told him that if he didn't use that picture he was a homosexual.

(Not that that is bad or anything, dildos and spandex for life !)

Here's another idea:  How about a picture of Bender and Fry with the kids from the orphanarium?  And under it can say, "Daddy Day Care".

While I currently have no ideas, I would like to know how you would go through the whole shirt making process, like what materials to buy and where to get them etc.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I know there is a way of doing it. I think that you have to buy a plain white T-shirt and then make something with your picture (not sure what) and then I think you can just iron it on. I have done it once before but it was a long time ago when I was a kid (and had my mom's help).

you need special paper
a blank T-Shirt or two
and an Iron

also you have to print it out backwords if you want words

I've dont it, Its not that hard, but they dont look that good

I also thought about printing myself a Futurama T-shirt, because I don't like the PE shirt you can buy at ebay. The logos I like are:
[I stole that pic from space station futurama]

I also like a picture of Jesus Zoidy or the Space Pope.  :)

@futuramafreak:
Like the second two. B&W is always classy.
But unless you have a really good iron/press, iron-ons don't last all that long.

@DDie: I'm wearing a t-shirt with that very same logo right now  :) It's cut out and placed to heart area of a white t-shirt, approx. 10 cm x 7 cm big.

you can buy it if you want, i won't make any money from it.

My dad has a silk-screening kit that's stashed in the deep, dark bowels of the earth (a.k.a. Our Basement.)  I'm thinking of putting a picture of Bender on the front of a dark grey T-shirt, and on the back it says:   BENDER
                         22
You know, because Bender is Bender Unit 22?
My sister has her idea-- Zapp Brannigan with one of those targets over his face.  She says she's wearing it for the joy of pissing me off.
Speaking of Zapp, I have a second idea.  Like alenacat, I'm going to do the one of him as an angel, and in delicate script, it's going to say "I've got a date with an angel..." on the front, and on the back it says, "A BLIND date, that is!"

On having custom made shirts ... isn't it prohibitavely expensive to have just one shirt custom made?  I threw that idea around with one of my friends a while ago, and on reasearching it, it was gonna be something like $35 a piece (for only making a couple).  There's always the option of making a bunch and selling them, but that's not exactly legal (I know Matt wouldn't care, but FOX would ... in a big way).  If you have a link to a shirtmaker that has good prices, by all means let me know.  I think i'd go the B&W route to save money ... maybe use the last one futuramafreak has up there.

(edit):
Just found this place.  They don't have a minumum order, and it costs the same whether your shirt is one color or full color.  You get a quantity discount if you buy more than one shirt ... and it doesn't even have to be the same one!  You could make 10 different designs, and save %5 on each shirt.

A great artist. She should draw Fry more often..
Anyway, Moonbus, I love that idea!!

That would be really cool to have the picture that DDie has shown on a T shirt. On the back I'd put an angry Professor Farnsworth saying "No posing for pictures you three! Get back to work!"

*QUICK QUESTION (FOR ANYONE THAT CAN ANSWER):*
If you give them a design to print a shirt, how long will it last? And can you put stuff on the back? Thanks. (I'd look myself, but my computer is going crazy, and saying I performed illegal operations, and is cutting me off from the internet. Don't want to be in the middle of something, and get cut off.)

I don't know how quality they are.  I've been financially short ever since I found them, so I haven't been able to order a sample.  But they can put images on two sides, it just costs a little more (but as custom shirts go, they're pretty inexpensive).

Sorry for the double post, but I couldn't help it.
The damn Zazzle won't let me simply paste a new image. Is it possible to do this? (If so, can someone tell me how?)
If not, can someone perhaps use DDie's image of Fry, Leela, and Bender, and just put it on a shirt (white background color), and put 'FUTURAMA' on top? (I'll edit it later.) +++AND MAKE IT AVAILABLE IN THE PUBLIC GALLERY, SO I CAN GET TO IT.+++
It would be really helpful if someone can do this for me! I'd do it myself, but once again, it won't let me paste an image. (For some reason, when I try to upload an image from Microsoft Word, it says it not a proper JPG file.) [Or something like that'.]

I have an idea for a shirt. On the top it would say evolution of man, with a picture of Gunther putting the hat on his butt on the left and then on the right would be a picture of Fry scratching his butt in his underpants. On the bottom in small print it would say: How the hell did that happen? I have been trying to find the picture of Fry, (if such a picture exist), but have failed. Oh course this is just an idea.

Someone's going to translate on that one /\  :D

I'm actually really intersted to see what everyone comes up with for this one! I love the real fan T-shirts that no one that watches the show would ever get  :).

(I'd insert my really witty idea I had yesterday on this topic - but I forgot  :(  :laff: no, I really can't remember now... )
