I live in Virgina, USA and I have not seen the Futurama game in any store. I would like to at least rent it, but its not at any rental stores either. I don't think its a matter of me just being late, because I have been looking for it in stores since it came out. I can only find it online, and I have no credit card.

Whew that was long.

Hmm do you have any Meijer stores where you live? I didn't get my copy from there, but every Meijer I've been to since it came out has had it.

If not there, try stores like Electronics Boutique or GameStop.... sure, it's used, but still playable (and cheaper). i got mine from EB at $30 and it was like new.

I actually have not looked at either such stores,
*hits head on desk* but I have checked Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, K-Mart, and Circut City. Oh and no Meijer stores.

ok.... all those stores - nothing. k-mart and wal-mart won't have them... ever. i can see why circuit sity or blockbuster would, but usually Best Buy has everything. But yea check Meijer and EB. thats your best shot

Yeah, I haven't been able to find the Futurama game in any tangible store. Very unfortunate. From what I've seen, it looks pretty good. Anything with Mom in it is something for me.

I heard the gameplay was mediocre, but it was basically like an episode of Futurama with all the cutscenes and the good plot. That is why I was interested in it.

I will be sure to check EB at the next convinence.

You probably can't find it because it sucks!

Well, it isn't that bad, but it sure wasn't worth the AU$100 I would have paid for it. Lucky I only hired it.

Actual gameplay: Sucktastic
Cutscenes: Fantastic

I got mine new from Gamestop/EB, I thought.  Might have been Best Buy/Circuit City, possibly.

I live in a small town in the mountains of Colorado and I don't have it either. But I found a site that carried it in Xbox, Gamecube, & PS2. I just don't remember where. It's like this dalmatian game that I found through IMDb.com I have never seen it before either.

I don't think this store of yours carries it in Gamecube.  Call it a hunch.

And worst comes to worst, there's always amazon/ebay.

If you don't find it then maybe that's just a good thing. I didn't have the patience (or skill!) to get through the gameplay-parts to actually see the cutscenes.

Bah! All these folks who let dodgy camera angles and slppery controls stand in the way of a good time! Whatever happen to patience, and more importantly, total bullheaded determination!?

Seriously though, this really isn't a game that should be bought for full price...
I bought it for full price, I admit, but only because I paniced when I thought that I might be caught in the exact position you now find yourself in, Alliteration... I had the sneakiest suspicion that the game wasn't going to sell like hotcakes...

I reserved the game for like 2 months, and when the opening day came, my GameStop didn't even have it, because almost nobody reserved it!  I had to go to 3 different GameStops [that day] to get it.  At the EB Games near my house, I think it's $20 or $30.

i got through the game in 7 hours some minutes, but in actuality it was probably more like 24 hours (due to restarting levels and such). i'm gonna replay a bunch of levels though to get the cut scenes, then see if it's pieces together as a nice little episode.

I haven't seen the Futurama game at any of the Best Buys or Toys R Us stores near me.  The EB games by me doesn't have it either.  There was a small game store down the street that had a used copy for $20, but the disk was fairly beat up so I passed on it.  They also had a new one for $49, but I wasn't going to pay it because I've heard the gameplay is so bad.  They recently had a 1/2 off sale because they were going out of business, but the game wasn't there.  Oh well.  I'd like to get a used copy so I could see the cut scenes.

Try Family Video if you have one where you live. There's atleast one copy on the Futurama game at every Family Video store around here, and that's the only place I've been able to find it.

Er... you could only do that if you got a used memory card as well, for PS2 anyways...
I don't know how XBOX memory works... I believe it's some sort of interal hard drive?

yes.. it has a pretty big internal hard drive that stores all your games. it's very nice not having to look around for and buy all those memory cards.

also, if you have a *modded* XBOX, you can copy and burn your saved games to free up room (friend has done that, i dont know how it works)

That's not what I meant.  I plan on playing the game to get the cut scenes.  I just don't want to pay full price for a game that isn't that good.

It's too bad the company who made the Futurama game didn't do a better job.  They probably figured that since most other games based off of TV shows or movies suck, why should they waste their time?  It's disappointing because it makes it look like Futurama products won't sell when really it's a bad game that won't sell.

Mmmm, SlackLabia.

I went to EB today after seeing a movie. Checked the shelves...

Damn! It's not here!

But wait! There is an EBX in this mall! I dashed over quickly to check! YES!!! JACKPOT!!!

One final copy sits on the shelf, half-price.
My heart filled with glee, I dive for my wallet.

I open it up...

And that joy I was talking about a second ago died right there in the X-box section.

$3.00 short.

DAMN YOU HELLBOY!!!!!

So now I sit at home, restocked with precious greenbacks, waiting for tommorow when I can make the trek again.

The feel good story of this thread.

So, do PS2, Xbox or GC ports exist on the PC yet or is it somewhere on the horizon?
Cos I know a girl with an Xbox whose biirthday is comin up, she's not a fan of the show but I could buy it for her as an excuse to play it on her Xbox.

I have now finshed the game, and will provide a review for anyone bored enough to read it.

Gameplay(5)- This game is your standard, run-of-the-mill action platformer. There is fighting, shooting, and lots and lots of jumping. All of this action is pretty solid, but there are a few too many jumping puzzles. The action can get a bit repetitive. Also, there are some really unforgiving jumping puzzles that can frustrate even the most hardcore of gamers. Fortunatly though, there is always an abundance of lives, so you never really run out(I never did).

Art(9)- This is one of the best parts of the game, everything is cartoony and colorful, and (with the exception of a few glitches, hence the 9) the animation and character design is great. Level design is good as well, ranging from desert asteroids to the streets of New New York. Character design is also good. What you would expect of the Futurama characters gone 3D.

Sound(9)- Another great selling point of the game. All characters are voiced by the original actors, and of course they all do a good job. My only complaint is that a few of the one-liners can become a bit annoying.

Story(9)- Written by a TV show writer(forget which one). The story is funny and slightly suprising. What you would expect from a 30-minute episode of Futurama. All the main characters are present at one point or another(except Amy).

Overall- Would have been great if the gameplay had not bogged it down. In the end though, it is a must have for any Futurama/gaming fan.

I give it a slightly biased 7 out of 10.

Note: if i got anything wrong, or you disagree with something I said, well, say so.
Damn that was long.

My biggest gripe with the sound was Leela's lines after finding a Nibbler.  Fry and Bender both made comments about Nibbler's cuteness, desire to kill it, etc.  "It's so cute, I want to hug it to death!"    Leela's?  "You go, mutant girl!  Ooh, pretty!"

Those were some of my biggest problems with the one-liners as well, except for Bender talking about cooking Nibbler.

Also, do you get anything extra for getting all of the Nibblers?
