Pikka I think you're being a bit hard on Hot Topic. Yes it may be trendy to dress in the style of clothes that they sell dosn't mean they don't sell stuff worth buying. Futhermore I think Avril is overcriticized.

Newbury Comics sometimes has some cool Futurama stuff. It's where I found my squishy brain slug. Your-mission-is-to-all-go-to Newbury-Comics-and-buy-brain-slugs.

Yes, well, of the topic of Canadian fauxpunks, if Fox allowed Family Guy to get the merchanise it did, why not Futurama.. Especially because no more episodes are being produced at all? [New Family Guys coming soon!] Even a Zoidy patch or a Fry wristcuff would be anough.. :hugs Hot Topic: Pwease?

TheLampIncident, I usually go to Newbury at the Providence Place Mall. I live in MA, but I'm almost right on the line, about 20 minutes from Providence.

Worse, she horribly mispronounced David Bowie's name at the grammies. Sad, she has no idea who he is and yet she's considered a musical diva by some in the musical community. Plus, have you ever seen her perform live? She cannot sing worth a crap.

I have ordered many shirts online, but there are loads of drawbacks. - It usually costs more, as online shirts tend to be a bit more expensive than ones in a store and you have to pay for shipping;
- It takes longer, unless you want to pay more for faster shipping;
- There's no guarantee that the shirt you recieve will look like it was shown online (shirt colors especially), whereas you can just look at the shirt in a store and know for sure;
- If you don't like it (I recieved one shirt that was so different from the picture that it didn't appeal to me at all), there's no easy way of going about returning it;
- You can't try on a shirt online, so you have to just hope and pray that their definition of a large is the same as everywhere else.
And on and on and on. Just because you think OMG HOt TOPPIC SUXX0Rz LOL!, it doesn't outweigh the ease of using an honest-to-God store versus going out of my way to shop online, just to avoid Hot Topic's evil fascist empire or whatever.

Hot Topic is still an all around decent store, but yeah, the main reason a lot of people hate it is that it's popular - and being owned by the same company that owns GAP also rubs people the wrong way...but they still have the best one-liner shirts, even if their prices are slightly high...but yes, FUTURAMA MERCH! MUST! SELL! FUTURAMA MERCH!

The sites I buy from run from as cheap as $7.50 (a rare occaison) and up to about $20, most falling into the $15-20 range. Factor in shipping, and you're losing money, if anything. Originally posted by TheLampIncident: -It's worth the wait. Uhh... why? Just so I can be a rebel? No, thanks. I prefer to receive my shirts as soon as I pay for them. Originally posted by TheLampIncident: -How much could they possibly screw it up? I remember a shirt I got from JINX was shown to be a happy, lime color and arrived a green so dark it was nearly black. Since I hate forest green, I was less than satisfied with it. Originally posted by TheLampIncident: -It's pretty sad if you don't know your own shirt size. It's not me, it's whatever brand of shirt the store uses. Different manufacturers have different standards of what constitutes a small, medium, etc. I once ordered a large shirt from ThinkGeek that was at least one size two big, depsite the size marked on the label. Believe me, I'm no big fan of the stores, and try to shop elswhere as best I can. But when it comes down to it, yeah, sometimes I shop there. I liken it to public restrooms. Sure, they're kinda grungy and the atmosphere is unsavory, but they serve a very real purpose. I'd very much like to do my business somewhere else, but that's not always an option. I tolerate the setting as best I can, getting in and out as fast as possible. Sure, I could wait until later, but sometimes you just can't.
