Fear not, comics fan... the latest Simpsons issue has an ad for the latest installment, which'll feature the gang going back to high school.

Seeing as this is the ONLY new Futurama we'll be getting in the near future, you might wanna keep an eye out for it.

Dammit!  I was at a bookstore on Sunday and I didn't think to look for #15.  I better get it before the 16th comic comes out.

Thanks for the info Kryten. Was there any mention of when this is expected to hit newstands? From the brief description you gave it sounds like this may be the first part of Ian Boothby's 4 part trilogy.
I have been meaning to get down to the comic book store to get that latest edition of Simpsons Comics because I figured this would be the Heil to the Cat issue that ties in with the first Futurama/Simpsons crossover.

Lol, there's an actual Hail to the Cat comic? Wow! That's pretty cool, I take it the scene we see in the crossover will appear somewhere in the issue then  :)

Not only that but it will be sandwiched between the first crossover special and the forthcoming second crossover that Ian is also writing. Check my Bongo Comics Panel report from the San Dieog Comic Con for more info.

OK, Issue 16 of Futurama Comics is scheduled to hit newstands in January. I would guess the end of January as that is the typical release schedule of Futurama Comics so no complaining mid January because it hasn't come out yet.
This will be the pre-qual or prologue of sorts to the Time Bender Trilogy - you know the cool 4 part trilogy that Ian Boothby has been working on? At least this issue will be drawn by James Lloyd and I hope he does all 4 issues.
And last but not least I hope to have a scan of the house ad up on my site in the next day or so along with the teaser info from Diamond Comics. I don't know if this is the actual cover they intend to use for the final issue but there is a strong possibility it will as that is usually been the case.

Did we ever get a release date on this? Aren't they usually released around the 20's of the month?

Futurama Comics 16 is scheduled to be released on February 4th. After that, there is a long wait until issue 16 hits the stands.

It's a pity it couldn't come out this month, but the 4th of Feb isn't too far off  :)

I think Bendo means there will be a long wait before Issue *17* is released... Otherwise the time-space continuum might implode or something

(don't you mean Issue 17, Bendo...?)

I have pie and fried egg on my face - yes that is what I meant. There will be a long delay in the release of issue 17.

I believe that #16 is out today, assuming it's not been delayed again. Go out and grab a copy before they're all gone. I'm going to try the Forbiden Planet Megastore later. I've got the last few issues from there, but I'm not sure if #16 will be available here in the UK on release day. Anyway it's worth a try.

Well, I picked it up from Forbidden Planet this afternoon. I've read it, and I can honestly say that it is one of, if not THE best issues ever. James Lloyds art work is flawless as usual and the script is laugh out loud funny. Atleast I did, I got some strange looks from people on the tube (or "SUBWAY" for you Americans).
Issue 16 is packed with movie and sci-fi references. Ranging from Back to the Future (it's subtle, but it's there if you look hard at the background), Harry Potter, The Breakfast Club (so once again, an issue with more than one Bender), Logans Run and probably many others.
This issue really is totally perfect, better than perfect if the next issue was out sooner (cliffhanger warning!).

Anyway, Futurama #16 gets the official M Jackson......THUMBS UP! 10/10, 100%....etc

i called Comics Colluseum today and asked if they had it in. And to my shock and dismay they had completely sold out in the 4 hours they had been open. But the nice phone guy said he would make some calls and see if he could get me a copy from one of the other Comic Colluseums. So hopefully that will pan out.

It's awesome to hear it's finally out, and that it's a really good one. Sounds like it's worth the wait. I can't get it yet because there's no Forbidden Planet near where I live, or anywhere else that'd sell it. I should be visiting a Forbidden Planet later this month though, so hopefully I'll get it then  :)

The Forbidden Planet Megastore had atleast 30 issues on the shelf today. So there should be issues available to Londoners for a while.

Although.........I believe that the population of London has recently surpased 30! HURRY YOU GUYS! THERE WON'T BE ENOUGH TO GO AROUND!

Oh, and once again, I have to say #16 is a really great issue.    :)

Maaan, you should have bought all 30 copies, then everyone would be gagging to get them, and you could sell them on UK eBay for extortionate prices...

I saw the US Futurama Comic Issue #6 sell for £11 on the UK eBay yesterday, seriously...

Some comic book stores will set up subscriptions for you and hold the comic(s) you subscribe to.  If you do that, not only will there be a guaranteed copy for you, they might start ordering more copies overall.

Anyway, #16 was okay, not the best but okay.  (It did have some good jokes, especially the one about the thermometer.)  And does this mean that Cubert is going to be a major character in the upcoming multi-part storyline?  That might not be a good thing.

You can try bookstores like Borders; I think they sometimes have comics sections, but they're probably behind the comic book stores.

I got my comic today! Yay for me! And it was awesome to the freakin max! The illustrations are dead on, the script was clever, there is no way i'm gonna survive untill part 2 comes out!

EDIT: i noticed a continuity error in the comic. There's a panel where Leela states that she can't call her parents because since they are mutants they don't have phones. Which didn't seem to stop her in LTH where she had no problem calling them.   :laff:

Would this comic be in Australian comic stores yet? I don't know how long it takes them to import it, and I want to make sure I don't make a wasted trip into the city.

If they don't have your comic, atleast you'll get some "fresh" city air.

I've got it yet i haven't read it yet but i've heard good things about it. Forbidden Planet Megastore (or just Forbidden Planet) is in London right, moved shops about a year ago. I've been meaning to go up there to have a look at some of the stuff there and get a hold of some more Futurama and Simpsons.

The new issue of the British Futurama Comics came out today. I picked it up. Although it's the 9th issue, it features the comic strip from the US comics issue 4.
It's not much different obviously, just twice the original size, and with different letters, and competitions and stuff. Oh and a free Leela and Amy poster.

Anyway, just letting you know.

A wizard did it.

No realy................I don't know! I don't collect Simpson comics. But it's probably the same reason that the 5th US Futurama comic is the UK's 7th etc. They re-order them to make them more apropriate for the time of year. Which is why last month the UKs 8th issue was the Xmas comic that was originaly the US #6.
