Cami, unpopular things are cool, because it makes you feel special and exclusive. But I dont think Futurama is something like that. I like that all the people at my school like Futurama. But I do take pride in the fact that I know more about Futurama than all of them combined.

i wouldn't want it as big as the simpsons, no no no. but still it needs to be more popular.  I actually like it when someone speaks of futurama as Matt's other show, not "futurama".  of course when you're a crazed fan like me you accept any form of acknoledge to it.

Also I like knowing the most about it, but some even say I know too much.

I think a Futurama movie (be it theatrical or DTV) would absolutely turn a profit. Think of all the work's that been done already: character designs and casting processes and background animations, etc.

I doubt the cast members would demand any massive paydays, and I've no doubt that MG, DXC and the screenwriters would be able to come up with something damn good.

Let's not forget about a little TV show called Star Trek; a highly underappreciated sci-fi series that was canceled before its time, earned itself a fiercely loyal fanbase through syndication, and then launched a series of ten movies, a half-dozen TV spinoffs and an incalculable number of toys, games, etc., etc.

And that was freakin' STAR TREK!    ;)

What pleases me most is that the two honchos (Groening and Cohen) actively want to pursue a Futurama movie! If they stick to their guns, I suspect we actually could see a movie some day...and with those guys at the helm - it's highly unlikely that the movie turns out to be a turkey.

Ah well, we can hope.

If they made a movie and it was succesful, it might encourage Fox to bring back the series.

It would be cool if they showed a new episode everyday, like the Simpsons, or a whole re-run!
