Bam, an all inclusive topic.
Like some, (hopefully most) I got mine the day they came out. I didn't get to start watching till 11:30 PM, but thats not the point. I spent most of this morning watching them too. Now.

May question is Easter egg's. I know there must be some, and on the first disk there is a Windy Shrimp that looks promising but I can't click it... has anyone found any eeggs?

I think there's one that has to do with Nibbler on the first disc. It unlocks a Planet Express yearbook, IIRC. The Season 3 easter eggs are widely published, but I haven't seen too much written about the Season 2 ones.

Any help for us lazy SOBs who don't want to find them on our own?

I wish I had mine, but I'm not made of money, leave me alone! However, I was over at my friends house last night and accidentally stumbled upon one.

1.) Open "The Problem with Popplers"
2.) Click up to select Jrrr
3.) Yay!

I know of two more Easter eggs. One is the Atom of Jumbonium in the "Lesser of Two Evils" main page, and the other is the video tape in the capsule in the "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" main page. Both of them are from the Futurama yearbook...I think its DXC and Ken Keeler highlighted.

One definite one I've found.... on the main episode screen for "I Second That Emotion", highlight Nibbler's eyestalk to see Matt Groening's yearbook picture.

I just wanted to know if there was something you can do with the windy shrimp on disk one... it looks so damn tempting, but I can't highlight it.

Are these Easter Eggs not on the R2/4 DVD?

Easter eggs aside, I was kinda disappointed that there was no original script on the season two DVD's.  I thought the SP3K script on the season one DVD's was really cool to read through.

I enjoyed the SP3K script too, but I had a hard time reading it.  Not enough resolution.  How was it for you?

ObS2: I'm STILL waiting for my mail-order copy.  Yesterday it went all the way from New York to Pennsylvania.  At that rate I'll get it next month.

On the topic of easter eggs, highlight the Bender bomb remote on the menu for "War is the H-Word" for more Futurama yearbook "fun"!

As far as I'm concerned, computers have a naturally higher resolution than a TV.  The script is hard to read, and the storyboard is totally impossible to read on a TV, from my experiences, anyway.  It hurts my eyes just trying.  But on a computer, both the script and the storyboard are very easy to read.  So, I guess readability just depends on whether you're looking at it on a TV screen or on a computer screen.

@Evil Fox Exec

Of course, of course, what was I thinking?  I don't have a DVD-equipped computer at home, only at work.  I haven't been bold (or desperate) enough to take my DVDs to the office yet.
It's a relief to hear that they look ok on computer.

I'm so mad because I'm on vacation in New Hampshire, and I didn't bring enough extra money to buy the Volume 2 DVDs on the 12th. So now I have to wait until AT LEAST wednesday the 20th to get mine. reading about all these easter eggs is making me so mad. AGH!

edit: to hold me over, could someone scan the box images and maybe the individual dvd cases maybe? thanks

Wait- that isn't the box. Or maybe it's the wrong side of it. When I got it, it was Hermes and Zoidberg on the front. Although in all promos it's shown like that (the cover art in Chump's post [above]). How it it supossed to look?

[note: I remembered Zoidberg's on the front- added that)

Thats the front of mine. On the other side is Hermes and someone else, I think Zoidberg. I dunno, I can;t bring myself to PEEL (pun intended) the page off the back.

This is horrible news, folks, but I think my disc 3 already has a scratch in it. I was highlighting some episodes for my friends, and his crappy GE made DVD player caused some tough skipping during "The Problem with Popplers."

I still need to test it out on my DVD player again. It worked fine there.

There was a scratch in the beginning of my season two disc one dvd.  "Brannigan Begin Again" would not play through.  I just exchanged the set for another at Suncoast.

When I got the S1 set, I watched all the episodes and then went back to the beginning and did all the commentaries.

For S2, I would watch one episode and its commentary before moving to the next episode.

Dunno which process I enjoyed more, but I run the S2 set in my DVD player like most people would play their favorite CD. (Translation: it's on ALL the TIME!) My only complaint: no "Play All" feature.  :(

This wonderful set will soon be taking a backseat to The Simpsons S3, but I just love these Futurama DVDs a whole lot.

One of my discs has a scratch and jumps and skips, can't remember which one...

But my 8 Mile disc has a scratch right on the sex scene! Before you think less of me I don't like eminem or rap, I just think the movie is interesting.

The R2 Season 3 DVD set has the "play all" feature.  I assume the R1 version will have it as well.

On a side note, I was on the Barnes & Noble bookstore website looking for some DVDs this morning.  Futurama season 2 is #10 on their top selling DVD list.  It's nice to see it selling well.
