I'm almost done with my futurama CD.  I only got to find Pharoah & His Pets.  When I'm done I'll try and put them on my website so everyone can download them.

Half of these are real prereleased songs ("TV Party", "Don't You Forget About Me", "White Rabbit", "I'm Alright", etc.) and I doubt they should be included on the same CD as the original "Futurama" songs.

TalaxianHunter, thanks a bunch.

My friend downloaded 82 of the tracks ok, but said the other track files were bad (corrupted?).  :(
Just wanted to pass that on.

I've tried to download the first zip file a couple of times, but each time I try to open it Windows says it is corrupted. Any idea why? Am I doing something very stupid?

I tried downloading  the futurama theme, but it would always be like a bubbly kina sound theme, not the sound like an airplane taking off and then bells, like the original. Who created the original? if it is the orginal?

The Fry Hole has most of the Futurama themes, including both (slight) variations of the S3+S4 theme.

here's my take on the sondtrack cd case:
 http://zeepsac.tripod.com/cd_case
i realize that:
-it would have to be resized
and
-the background picture was i wallpaper i downloaded off cgef. i take no ownership of it whatsoever.

How about foreign language tracks on there as well, like the spanish Robot Hell song ? Compared to the English one it´s pretty crappy but oh well, why not ?

Well, we'd need someone with those language tracks on them to rip them off the DVD or something since not all the DVDs came with all languages (I don't think the UK ones had German for example).

I have the European Spanish versions, and the German ones, but they don´t dub any singing.  :nono:

After downloading and fixing the Zip files in Winrar, i've got all but 2 tracks: 07 and 33

EDIT: and 49.

Not a bad compelation, but i'd like someone with the time to make a version at a higher bitrate from the DVDs, some of them do sound a bit "nasty". I'm not bashing your efforts though, real nice work!

Aslate, what did you do to "fix" the zip files? I ask since I downloaded the first one and windows complained it was broken in some way.

Open them in WinRAR, go tools->Repair Archive (Alt-R). Treat as a Zip file and it should "find" all the missing tracks. However i still couldn't get the 3 files listed above.

*sighs* The problem with getting a new high spec PC is you're missing all the utilities like WinRAR that you used to have...

I like the disc, but (and I so know I'm getting flamed for this), does nobody here think it’s highly hypocritical that any threads saying “Download Futurama Episodes Here” etc. get closed down because they’re illegal, but a “Download Futurama Soundtrack” (which is equally as illegal) does not?
Not that I’m saying this thread should be closed, because the soundtrack is really good, but the boards position is somewhat confusing…

True, but this is more disguised illegality  ;)

It's not illegal as I understand it. CGEF host sound clips from the show, which don't infringe copywrite if they're under a certain length.

They should have "Don't Forget About Me" from Breakfast Club on the Futurama CD.  It fit the final scene, of Luck of the Fryrish perfectly.  Also, "Baby Love Child" from Leela's Homeworld fit that scene perfectly as well.

Dunno, but since they're just being hosted as single clips (albiet in zip files of more than one clip), and we as discerning fans are just burning a bunch of them to CD, I can't see how there could be any real legal ramifications.

Also, we're not selling the CDs, as far as I know. And I'm fairly sure as an owner of the DVD boxsets I'm entitled to copy the contents for backup purposes (at least this is the case with games), so this could just be an extension of that.

Of course, the songs from the series that aren't oringinal compositions by the team (Baby Love Child for example) will be subject to a much tighter copyright, although again probably not if it is just a short clip.

that's the thing about most legal issues [involving copying]: it's usually not illegal UNLESS you make a profit off it (it rhymes!) or cause the real owners to lose profit.
since we're not trying to make a profit (we're not burning the CD's so that we can sell them) and no one is losing profit (they never got any  money for the individual tracks in the first place) i don't think it's illegal.
it might be for the non-futurama-original tracks, though.
