And that is not just a stupid law that's not going to be in affect, they are doing it! Also is 15MB a bit too less space for 200MB of music. germanfryfan, you are doing great job. This list is a wonderful thing. But I have some questions about it and Futurama soundtrack. May be you can answer them. First of all, I can't find "Sanford and Son" theme in the 1ACV06 episode. Fry is watching TV-Show "Sanford and Son", but there are no music theme. Then, there is background music, when Fry and Leela and Bender waste Fry's money, by eliminating world masterpieces Does anybody know it? Also, there are unknown background themes in the 1ACV05 episode, when crew celebrate Robonukah, and in the 1ACV03 episode, when abstinent Bender stroll about the streets, in the 1ACV09 episode, when Bender jacks on first time. Perhaps some of them was writen by Chris Tyng, but some of them are not " 1acv10 - Celine Dion - Titanic Theme". It's "My heart will go on", isn't it? But I didn't hear this song in the episode. And the last qestion about firts season soundtrack. Edwar Elgar wrote more than one " Pomp and circumstance marches". Which one is "correct"?

Thank you! I'll see what I can do about your questions. First of all, I can't find "Sanford and Son" theme in the 1ACV06 episode. Fry is watching TV-Show "Sanford and Son", but there are no music theme. That one was proposed by Zoidberg227, I belive it is one of the linking themes. Let me check... Oh it was played! Exactly in that moment the scene switches from Walt saying "My god! That Mr. Fry must be a mastermind of the highest order." to fry sitting in his chair, watchng Sanford and son. That is around 14:24 minutes. Perhaps some of them was writen by Chris Tyng, but some of them are not Sometimes I am really unsure about them myself. Then again they are possibly Chris Tyng compositions most of the time, since taking original songs needs licensing, costing a lot of money. The one in "A fishful of dollars", from the moment they are in the spa, until they sit in the pizzaria, seems like a Tyng tune to me. It suits the scenes shown and ends on time with a nice chord fading out. The Robhanuka music could be a licensed song. I remember that I have heard such tunes somewhere. So Tyng might at least have taken some ideas from actual songs. Then again I have no idea about that. Same goes for the "jacking on" music in "Hell is other robots". That might be some oriental tunes, I don't know since I am not into that, beside the few the Beatles did. I think though that it is a Chris Tyng one again, since it is rather short. " 1acv10 - Celine Dion - Titanic Theme". It's "My heart will go on", isn't it? But I didn't hear this song in the episode. Yes. Celine Dion's song was the "Titanic love theme". It uses the main part of the original theme written by James Horner. So actually Celine Dions version is the wrong one. For Futurama I think Chris Tyng used a version pretty near to the original theme. It is played when Bender and the Countess are outside of the ship, from the moment they are kissing, over to Bender printing her circuit diagram, to the "titanic"-pose until they are in that car doing the nasty. And the last qestion about firts season soundtrack. Edwar Elgar wrote more than one "Pomp and circumstance marches". Which one is "correct"? I can only guess... It is played during the flight and landing on the Mars shortly after the intro. Actually the link you gave us answers it already. It has to be no 1, since that is the tune Americans graduate to. Welcome to PEEL DeadAngel! Enjoy your stay here at Nerd-world.

Oh it was played! Oh... My fault. It is played during the flight and landing on the Mars shortly after the intro It seems to me, that it's played during parade, after robot house wins the race. And it's not No1. As for other themes... I'll be watching the net Anyway, thank you for answering.

The song played during the victory party in the end was "Shout" by "Otis Day and the Knights". I was unsure about Pomp and Circumstances as well, because they don't play the main theme of that march. Check the episode at 1:11, right at the time they pass the "Knowledge brings fear" gate. Here is a sound-grab of that part: pomp.mp3 - 68kbLike I said, I am still unsure whether it is or not is Pomp and Circumstances. But if it is the chance of it being verion 1 is highest, because that is the theme the US Highschool graduate to.

germanfryfan, oh you are right again I cheked the episode and march no1 is played during landing. The song played during the victory party in the end was "Shout" by "Otis Day and the Knights". Yes, but before some march is played. By the way, when I looking for titanic theme, I found Irish dance song by Gaelic Storm, In the movie it was played during party in third class. And it seems to me, that this theme is played in Futurama too in steerage.

I can't find scenes in the "X-mass story" episode, when "Joy to the world" and "God rest ye merry..." are playing. Can anyone help me to find these scenes? By the way, may be somebody knows which theme is playing during the scene, when Santa Claus is hunting Leela and Fry? (time of the begining 15:38). P. S. Sorry about my english

Sorry to interrupt you mookie... but 1. He isn't new, but just came back. See his joining date. - Welcome back Deadangel btw. 2. This is actually the right thread he asked in. It only wasn't active in over a year. Beside that, as you might have noticed, it is already on page 5 and nearly 3 years old, so that I don't really see a point in saying that it should be in Re-/checked weird scenes. On top of that, this thread is about a collection of all songs used on the show, so that we "could" have made ourselves a custom Futurama CD - I'd call that merchandise. Oh well whatever. @DeadAngel: These entries were proposed by Zoidberg227, these bits were rearanged by Christopher Tyng and used as background music while scene cuts and fades. It might be hard to recognize them and sadly I don't know at which time they occured but they are in the episode.

germanfryfan In our site we made the list of futurama songs (including original Futurama songs) for the fist season. And we put scene description (and also the screenshots of these scenes). That's why I asked about scenes. It's seems to me, that if these themes was rearanged by Christopher Tyng, maybe it isn't correct to include these themes in the list.

In that case you may be right. We (I at first) started to collect all the licensed, or quoted songs used on the show (such as "the Odd Couple Theme" - I, roommate, "Don't you forget about me" - Luck of the Fryrish, "White Rabbit" - A head in the polls or "I'm so dizzy" - War is the H-word). Later on, when that list seemed to be completed more and more, we added everything that we recognized as being a comercially or traditional song. Such as the songs you mentioned that only where used for a tiny bit. I'd say that the list above holds pretty much every tune of Futurama that is not originally Christopher Tyng but from other artists and composers. Maybe it is complete, maybe not.
