Finally, I've got my Destructor from BigBadToyStore.  :D
Suddenly they had one of them in stock again end of June and I ordered it for $67. It was the last one and I've got it today from the customs office.

Too bad I had to open it to let the customs people see what's inside. At first I wanted to keep the white box sealed (highest grade), but I think, I would have to open it anyway when the day will come to sell it and proove its contents...
So I expect the number of sealed Destructors will reach zero one day or are there any other people keeping him inside the outer box?

So you bought it just to sell it?

When I become old and need money for the hospital or when I need the storage space for other things, maybe. I like collecting but don't have the space to display everything. So I keep everything in new condition. Additionally the WAF (women acceptance factor) is much higher when my girl friend doesn't have to see my toys. ;)

And when I see how much my old Star Wars toys are worth now (and how much they would be worth in unopened condition) I could cry that I wanted (and did) to play with them when I was a child instead of putting them away in a box to keep them like new. ;)

Nice photo, EvilPDA!

Nibbler_04: Haha, the WAF aka women acceptance factor. Well I am a female and probably own more toys than half the regulars in this forum...not sure what that says about me, other than I am really actually a dude :shifty:

The guys have been pretty accepting in my AWESOME collecting, though heh. Who wouldn't want a chance to play with a girl's toys? ;) Lol. But yeah. I'm not a normal chick :shifty:

Hahahahaha :laff: Have you been creeping my blog again PDA? :laff:

Oh right. I actually came in here to post about how I ordered the Dark Horse Bendy Leela and Bender for 13 and 15 dollars (with shipping), respectively. I just got sidetracked by girl toy talk :shifty:

It was a little more than I'd like to pay, but I am recently a lil more flush with cash, and it's better than the outrageous 45 dollars or thereabouts people have tried charging for the things. I got a glow in the dark Kif for 6 bucks with free shipping - poor thing cost that much to ship, lol. But yeah, I really like it. It lights up on my nightstand at night :D

There's nothing I am really looking to buy right now, I just stumbled across those listings randomly. However I DO want to see the Kidrobot Hypnotoad be released next month, since I missed getting it through my people at SDCC because I was behind the ball. Heh.. 'my people'...

NOT TRUE.

Comic shops (at least ones with Futurama merch) are hard to come by, at least in my area. There's 3 comic shops within 15 miles of me, but only one actually carries Toynami. I see more Toynami at Toys 'R Us than those shops. And urban outfitters/barnes & noble carries the kidrobot. But yeah, most futurama merch I just order online.

The only comic book store near me that carries Toynami products regularly is about thirty miles away? I'm entirely guessing at this number. A very local book store/ novelty store sometimes gets in Futurama merch, but it's always long after release dates and it's never a dead-on guarantee (especially if you're as nit-picky on condition as I am). My closest actual, legitimate comic book store never has many figures for sale besides collector items behind the counter and a few DC figs scattered about. I assume I could order them but that isn't the point. Randi also mentioned Barnes and Noble, which I can confirm. Not every location definitely has Futurama KidRobot toys though and they may be more expensive than the retail because B&N does mark-ups like the dicks that they are. I haven't hit a TRU in ages (but reeeaaalllyyy want to) so I can't vouch for them having Futurama in-store.

In conclusion: Americans don't have Futurama products out the wazoo. We never really have and probably never will. Sorta wish Futurama was as mass-market as The Simpsons... Hell, I want a bedroom set or at least a lamp...

Do they? I have seen them for $9.95 at Barnes and Noble, and that's pretty much the going rate on them (I think they are $10 at Urban Outfitters). Plus I have the Barnes and Noble card (at the time I was buying a lot of stuff to look for rare blind box items and sell off the extras so it made sense to get the card). I would have never got the card otherwise - I miss Border's :( But anyways hey, 10% is 10% eh?

I have never seen Futurama figures at a Toys R Us, only a very select few comic shops.
But Toys R Us does in fact carry them.. just never when I go to one.

Seriously I can get Venture Bros. toys at TRU, but not Futurama!?!!!

Venture Bros. is mostly all limited to 3000 pieces per each mego figure now, yet I find those!!

But.. (thanks to 2 comic shops) I got a MAC Fry for $13.00 bucks and Talking Bender for $20.00.

Woo-hoo!

The closest shop that sells Futurama figures is 60 miles away from me. . and all they have left are encore Benders... and some Rocket USA stuff.

Thankfully a new bookstore opened up here awhile ago that actually carries the comics.. b/c I swear to god the comics are only available at Toys R Us or big book stores (like B&N)... every comic book shop I go to never... ever... ever... has Futurama comics in stock... it drives me nuts!

One of my friends who went to SDCC picked me up this poster so I am pretty stoked. He couldn't even get himself a Hypnotoad because apparently they were set to sell only a certain amount each day and they sold out almost instantly each time I am told. But that's okay as he will be out in August :D

I looked and didn't find one upon quick searching. This is probably the most comprehensive lot of posters I have found out there, but I didn't really look that much into it so you might find more out there, like I found a signed Dr. Zoidberg one.

Anyone know about this general release Hypnotoad that comes out on 10/31? Kind of makes the SDCC version less exclusive if there are no differences between the two. I was under the impression only 500 would be made.

I was buying them for a whole dollar less at a local Hastings. I know it's pennies on the dollar sorta stuff to pay $8.99 and not $9.99 or whatever, but to me it made a difference. Besides that I got one for half price because it was opened, and the accessories were lost temporarily. Borders was my #1 favorite book store. Always had what I frikkin' wanted to buy on the shelf (except for the year or so before they went away for good but even then they had what I wanted more or less), goddanged books were in NEW condition, not some trashy excuse for "new" as it happens to be a lotta times over at Barnes and Noble and especially my local Hastings. If Hastings gets in new stuff, you'd best buy it pronto if it looks mint. It won't last until your next visit. Folks that go into Hastings tear up new books so badly, sometimes the used copies look better. Sadly this rings true for their figures too. They have a few Futurama ones on sale but the boxes are worthless in their current condition so I haven't bothered picking them up.

I have all of season 6a on iTunes, have a season pass for downloading all episodes of season 7 on iTunes, Season 6b on dvd, Season 3 on dvd, The Wild Green Yonder on dvd, Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, The 30% Iron Chef, and A Fishful of Dollars on iTunes,  MAC Fry, Leela, and Toynami Bender with all accessories. Futurama Simpsons crossover hardcover, Futurama Adventures, The Time Bender Triology, and for my birthday I had a Futurama cake.

So, an ok collection I'd say.

That's pretty good for a lil youngling like yourself! Past futurefreak would be jelly right now :p

I just got Hypnotoad - he's not so bad, disappointed the eyes don't feature like battery powered movement but whatever. He's pricey, but now I can say I have a Hypnotoad on my shelf so I guess he's worth it. When I make more moeny I'll be looking into getting Wooden Bender I suppose.

I also just ordered wind-up URL with key by Dark Horse I believe. I didn't really need it as he looks rather similar to the Toynami version, but I do have a few wind-ups already (Nibbler, Gender Bender, etc) so he'll fit in nicely amongst the crew

Thanks Randi, yeah I got it for $36.5 against another bidder. It's the best price I've come across as I have always seen it above $40 and sometimes even $70+. Also noticed the other frequent sale links you been sharing here, I appreciate you keeping members updated here.

I shipped it domestically to my NY mail forwarding address, but then had to pay more than what I paid for the figures to ship it internationally. Still considering I get 4 figures, it's still a great deal overall.

Now that the key MAC figures are acquired (and that OCD is put to rest ;)), I will now move on to getting the various Toynami figures.

Sweet shelves apexxx! That reminds me I got some old Simpsons stuff to put up online to sell.

Nice score Vivek! Yeah individually the figures are worth at least $100 +, so if you can find a good deal on the Collect-O-Pack it's better, and then you aren't having to search for a good price on each individual figure (the ship alone I paid 50 bucks for on Amazon with a 50 dollar gift card I had heh).

Good, I'm glad someone is looking at the links. I know they're all from the same site but if I see a nice deal (and I already have the pieces, hehehe) I'll link it in the for sale thread for those looking to acquire them

I just redid my shelves again (made it mostly futurama and Kidrobot things, no more trek is out) and it looks pretty cool. I'll have to take new pics soon. I've gotten a lot since I last took photos, and FINALLY put the plush on a shelf (I had them on the floor in front of my DVD shelves but they kept losing their tags  ).

@apexx: I like the Predator, Simpsons, and sports collections as well... you rock!!

Also I almost think you should switch around the shelve spots of the Predators with the Simpsons b/c there are so many more Predator figures coming!!

Plus it would keep Futurama and The Simpsons seperate... as it should be.

I have one Simpsons item amongst my Futurama shelves (ehh make that two if you count an Itchy and Scratchy TV I tokk off a broken ornament) - and that's the Kidrobot Comic Book Guy (he was on sale, and being someone who persues comic book shops...yeah that one definitely spoke to me lol). Remember when everyone would get mad when they said Futurama is just The Simpsons in space and we denied it? Yeah can't say that anymore...But I digress. :shifty:

I still need to get Comic Book #62 darnit, I'll look for it at Toys R Us this afternoon possibly.

Thanks MuchAdo! :) I actually have a collection of Aliens (and soon Prometheus) figures below the Predators. I recently moved to a large condo and now for the very first time have my own office I recently just finished setting everything up. Im sure things will eventually be rearranged somehow, but thats the current set up. I had to keep all of the Chicago sports figures together too. Here is a shot of that entire corner of my office:

The rest of my office is taken over by massive shelves of Star Wars and one corner for Marvel Universe figures.

Wow, okay keep it like it is... just wow!!!!

Remember when everyone would get mad when they said Futurama is just The Simpsons in space and we denied it? Yeah can't say that anymore...But I digress. :shifty:

Actually compare this season of Futurama (7A) to the Simpsons season 23 and you'll find that you are wrong.
The Simpsons isn't even watchable anymore.... Futurama is still quite enjoyable... it's just matured... like blue cheese.
I honestly hope Futurama learns of the Simpsons mistakes and only makes around nine or ten production seasons.
With ten seasons (assuming they'd be 26 eps each) that would mean 90+ more shows still to be aired... I'd be very sated with a number like that.
Let's see... 218 total episodes of Futurama sounds good to me... 202 if you don't count the dvd movies.
I hope they don't try and go for 600 like the Simpsons.

Futurefreak I didn't mean to tirade, I am just sick of people hating on the new eps.
I still think you rock kiddo.

Anyway... back on topic, damn that collection is amazing!

also, i disagree.

The Simpsons isn't even watchable anymore

I still watch Simpsons religiously every Sunday night regardless if its a new episode or a repeat. been doing that since day one. I wish Simpsons could go past season 25. I even had the nickname of "Bart" when I was in Jr. High.  Sunday nights are when I "go to church" :D George Lucas in my God, but that makes Matt Groening my Jesus. :P

It would be cool if they hit 600 episodes and were still going strong, but that'd take a lot of effort and skill. And luck.
