To everyone who dosen't have a credit card!:

You charge whatever you want to buy on your mother/fathers-s credit card and hand them cash.

What's the big deal?

I pretty much have it all. There are only a couple of items that I don't have but will eventually be picking up. I even have all the R2 DVD's released to date and will be picking up the R1 versions once they are released here in the States.
The only stuff I have not picked up yet are the Rix Tin trash can, Slurm can and a couple of the tin signs from RocketUSA.
Along with all that other stuff I also have some pretty cool (at least I think they are cool) production drawings from the show. You can see a few of them on my site under the Production Art section.

Bendo, I'm a huge, huge Futurama fan, and I have a pretty substancial collection of stuff (see my opening post) but isn't it kinda pointless to buy identical DVD sets twice, there is no difference between them!

The PAL dvds have 4% sped up audio which increases the pitch (and no, it was not corrected, the audio was sped up without lowering the pitch).  Hermes and the professor in particular are annoyingly high pitched to my ears.  However, the pitch increase isn't annoying enough for me to warrant an additional $200 purchase at this time, but I can see a large collector like Bendo wanting the R1 sets.

Also, to add to my collection:
1 official script (I dated a robot)
2 scripts (AOI 2, Nibbler and the brain)
Bender promo poster, the zoomed in one

Fair enough it just seems a bit too OTT. I mean when they arrive in the post and you open them, it's not like you'd be all excited about watching them, as you already have them. They'd just go straight onto a shelf.

M Jackson, I know it seems like overkill but I only have a region free DVD player on my computer and I just have to get the sets to not only have the good quality transfers but all the cool extras as well. When the R1 sets come out I actually do watch them on my big screen TV which I enjoy immensley.
Margarita, I am curious to know more information on some of those posters that you have in that picture. Where did they come from? I know the big Futurama poster but what about like the G-Bots one. I have the giclee of that image. Is that a photocopy that you made?

Hey that's cheating! We could all save money by printing our merchandise off of the Internet. Infact I think i'll print myself out a Wind-Up Shiny Bender figure right now!.......Oh wait, the laws of physics, I always forget about the physics.

I don't have much:
Season one on VHS, dubbed in German (PAL)
Season one on DVD, Region one
German comics, numbers 2 through 6.
I would really like to get posters and figurines.  But everything's so darn expensive, even on eBay.

The figures have been showing up on eBay for quite some time now and they are really cheap I thought. People are really blowing the prices out especially on the metal figures.
Awhile back www.toyzz.com  had the wind-up Nibblers on sale for like 2.99 with free shipping. I have not checked there in awhile so I do not know if they still have any at that price though.

Hey Bendo, thanks for the link!  The wind up Nibbler is now $7.00 or something, but it's still a helluvalot cheaper than eBay.  They also have the glow in the dark Leela for about $4.00.  I didn't check if there's still free shipping, though.  I'll take a closer look later.

Due to the horrible shipping fees order in bulk, if you know you plan to buy an item in the future, just order it all at once, it works out cheaper in the end.

I have the R2 DVDs (because I'm impatient) and a copy of the R1 season 1 DVD.  I bought the R1 DVD as well because:

1)I don't want to be a slave to my region free DVD player.  It's a cheap one and does the job admirably, but eventually it's going to croak.  If another isn't easily available, I don't want to be stuck searching for another region free player to play my R2 DVDs.

2)I can do screen captures, make audio files, etc with the R1 disk.  I don't have a region free DVD player on any computers I have access to, so the R2 disks won't do.

To me Futurama is worth the double purchase.

Seasons 1-3 on DVD. I tried to get Futurama icons for my desktop, but it wouldn't work. Are the comics good? I don't usually read comics, but I like Futurama so much I probably would.

There have been some good and fun comics produced so far. If you are not sure if you want to get into them and only want to get a couple here are my picks that I think you would like:
Both parts of the Crossover, Issues 11 and 13 and issue 14 when it is released (I know that one is going to be good). Running a close second to that list is issue 1, 7, 8 and 4.

Bendo, I was looking through your site, it's really awesome  Anyway, I found something that I'd never ever seen before, thisIt looks really clool and I really love it. It's a pity it's so rare and so expensive, I doubt I'll ever manage to find it. But I love the retro styling, and the graphic look it has  :)

Otis, I love that giclee as well and of all the stuff that I have the poster size giclee's are stuff that I don't have for the exact reason you stated - money. Next to the SP3K one this is high on my list of things to get. The other ones produced are pretty cool as well but these two are the best I think.
Don't let the rareness and price scare you away though as the SP3K one was produced quite awhile ago and those can still be found. I think they produced just a little bit more than the demand so they should be fairly easy to get for the next couple of years. The problem is that nobody will probably be selling them discounted.
I intend to get all the giclee's eventually though as they are just too cool and too much fun not to have them. Of course, I have no place to put them up on my wall but someday I will have a bigger house that will be wall to wall, err... walls.  :)
