In WHSmith today I saw a sign next to the Season 3 DVD saying you can pre-order Season 4 for £29.99. I ordered a copy on Amazon months ago. But what with all the recent postal strikes, £35.00 price and 27th Nov delivery estimate, I have now cancelled my Amazon order and I plan on simply walking down the road on release day to pick up my copy. This way I get it cheaper and I know i'll have it on day one. I just thought that some of the other UK buyers may want to do the same. We all hate hearing your moaning when it doesn't turn up on release day.

Yeah but I ordered it as soon as it became available when the price was £35.00. My order wasn't changed when the price went down. Anyway, even if the price did go down, I still prefer to do it this way. I don't have to hope that it will arrive on release day, I KNOW it will.

On the flip side PEEL/CGEF miss out on some Euro's. Of course I don't have any choice. I still haven't found any shops in this country who sell the previous 3 seasons. I doubt I'll ever see season 4 in free trade either, so online shopping is my only option. Out of all those times I've ordered at Amazon.co.uk or even Amazon.com not a single item have been damaged even in the slightest. They're quite good at this stuff, it's what they do for a living.

Very awesome, and insightful review. Nice find A bit picky, but I guess that was the reviewers job. Although they failed to mention the disappointment of there not being a Season 4 trailer on the final set.

long winded review, dont what the problem with picture quality is, my s3 dvd is perfect, the commentaries are the same level of entertainment i'd say to simpsons. and as for worrying about how much they can cram onto 1 disc, well s3 disc 1 has 6 episodes with commentaries, storyboards, lots of deleted scenes a table read and few other minutes worth of material. they probably could have fit s4 onto 3 discs

Wow, that guy's a crap reviewer. I'm sure the vast majority of people, when they read a DVD review, don't want to know the in-depth technical minutae of the disc, but rather whether the CONTENTS of the disc are any good. They probably could have fitted season 4 onto three discs, but that would be bad economics. (at least from FOX's POV. )

I've got all 3 (soon to be 4) Futurama boxsets on region 2 PAL DVDs. I have no idea what anyone could complain about with the sound/picture quality! It's almost flawless! Sure the sound may not have a groundshaking DTS kick to it. But this is a TV show. The actual quality of the sound is perfect. There's no hiss or glitches, it's all digitaly perfect. Same with the great picture.

Well, the guy have the FOX crappy treatment down pat, and he seems like a genuine fan. I hope it's true what CK is saying, that it's site policy to be this nitpicky about picture quality and sound, because this really is anal and tedious. Notice how he use the words "in all fairness" over and over. You get the impression there are grave errors on this set, but it's somewhat balanced by the goodness of the episodes.
Neither of the first 3 sets I bought had any problems with the audio or picture. The only really noticable fault was a sync arror in the "The Route Of All Evil" audio commentary near the end. Other than that, flawless.
Less than 2 weeks to go.

Anybody who doesn't already own the first three boxsets (what is wrong with you!?), should check out HMV now. Theres a huge sale on and each Futurama boxset is only £22! At the LOndon Picaddily store there are literally piles and piles of Futurama boxsets! I assume that's becasue they keep ordering more in, not because they wont sell. I noticed 5 people buying a Futurama DVD while I was there, one women got all three.
