Hi all, just wondering what the final price you paid for S3 from amazon.co.uk came to? I'm thinking of preordering and need to know how much money to put in my account.  :) Thanks, sorry if this has been answered already in another thread.

Well I've ordered Season3, but it wont go on my credit card til its actually dispatched, I think it was like 29 pound, which is around $72 AUD including VAT (european version of GST), but since we arent in the EuroUnion we dont pay that so save that to put into postage.

but I wont know how much it actually cost me until mid june when I get my credit card bill.

Just to make a point that you Aussies are getting off cheap, with shipping I paid about $52 USD for S2 DVDs, which is near $80 AUD.

Why? I don't know. But I'll be at a Virgin MegaStore in Picadilly Circus picking my S3 DVD up on the tenth.

And to be picky again, aslate, EU residents still have to pay the UK VAT. People outside the EU don't have to pay VAT if they order from a store that understands that. (Some ignore the fact that they don't have to charge VAT to people outside the EU, and the UK government gets more money.)

no, if he pays $143.95 AUD from a terrestrial store that has ordered it in from britain, he is getting ripped a new colon.

hmm $72AUD mailed to your front door, or $143.95AUD at a store? hmm I know what I choose.

Although my Season3 wont be here til next week now (lousy public holidays...) I am still paying around $72 aswell.

In short unless u have money oozing from every orifice dont buy it from there

I will be paying GBP31.99 = USD53.09 = AUD79.71.

Yeah, I'll be paying about AUD8 = GBP3.21 = USD5.32 more than you.

If I ordered it from Amazon.co.uk, I'd pay GBP33.03 = USD54.84 = AUD82.32.

Where did you order it from, Grim?

I think I'll stick with VirginMega.  :D

Look, all you have to do is go to the amazon Season 3 page and start the ordering process. In the "Confirm" step, you'll see the final price. That's what amazon is going to bill you.
Then you go multiply it by 2.50 and you got your AUD price (or check the Yahoo currency converter for GBP->AUD for the current version). The last thing could be a small fee from your credit card company for out of country payments. 75AUD sounds really cheap to me for the disc set and I bet the street price in Australia will be higher than that (ezyDVD even has the season 2 set at 90).

here's how it works- amazon will tell you an approx price in AU$ but it's the exchange rate at the time your credit card company processes it that will determine the final price, thats why some orders will be a little different to others.  :)

Airmail is pretty standard cost me about 3pound shipping, took 9 days for this set.

There is priority post which takes a lot less time but is ALOT more expensive like 18 pound or something, there is a shipping help page on the amazon site.

I don't know whether I should get Futurama Season 3 or Family Guy Volume 1!!!!

After reading the review on CGEF its really wet my appetite (especially that table-read thing), but it has 22 episodes and i've seen 19 and have them on tape or on computer.

Family Guy on the other hand has 28 episodes, and I have only seen 2 of these in the last 3 years.
