When does the game come out in EUrope?

Late summer, mayby august. That's what I'm hearing at least. This is actually UDS' last game, they'r shutting down business when it's done  :(

Btw, anyone played UDS old arcade style racing game Ignition, from '97 or so. Great fun, as I remember it  ;)

Sorry, you are correct. They are not shutting down completely. But close to. The Norrköping office is killed, which is where their HQ used to be.And their finances does not look good at all.

I'd heard their finances were poor for a good while now but Futurama has kept them going and could save them if sales are any good for it

That looks pretty good, but nothing special. I'm really afraid that this game will be linear.

Woooo! It keeps looking less and less stupid every time I see new shots... not sure it will be good though.

I just got the trailer and it's as i feared. I'm not a fan of those games with that kind of view (Crash Bandicoot etc.) and this looks like just another one...

I posted this up on another thread but people might not see it so here is what an insert I got with my season 2 dvd said:

Futurama is a game 1000 years ahead of its time - straight from the 31st Century comes an action platform game based on the Emmy Award winning animated program - the brainchild of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening.

Playing as Fry, Bender and Leela your mission is to save earth from the evil clutches of businesswoman, Mom. Battling the forces of her 'Hover-Bot Death Troopers' your adventure will take you from the Planet Expree HQ through the streets of futuristic New New York and the sewers of Old New York, to bizarre alien planets and even the surface of the sun.

Featuring a brand new Futurama script from an award winning Futurama writer, voice actors from the show and exclusive new animation footage Futurama on Playstation 2, Xbox and Game Cube is a hugely entertaining and wonderfully authentic game that no fan or newcomer will want to miss.

Fry's face looks a bit weird, but MY GOD Bender's model is so damn close to perfect that I'd say it was perfect!!..or something.

I've just got round to downloading the E3 video footage of the game, and I must say it looks so much better moving then in screen shot form. Very clear and sharp, and also surprisingly smooth too. It seems to me slightly improved since the trailer for the game, and I can't wait to play it  :)

The type of game is usually very much dictated by the platform it's being built for. Personally, I felt a point n' click adventure game (in the spirit of Monkey Island), or even a Grim Fandango style game would suit Futurama best. However, these types of games tend to be more difficult to implement on a console gamepad (well, maybe not the second one).

I don't particularly mind Crash Bandicoot style games, but I wouldn't say they're my favourite style.

Why didn't they go for an adventure game? That would mean a PC version. Damn them!

A Futurama adventure game would be great, as long as it's as good as Broken Sword, but in 3D!!(ala Broken Sword 3)

The thing I don't get is why didn't they make a PC version? They're probably cutting out half their targeted audience that way...like me, for example.

Looks like I should start saving to buy an XBox (or PS2, but probably XBox).

A PC version would be nice, but alas...

I agree, but I can't see me splashing out on a modified PC (XBOX).  Is there a PS3 planned?

Slaytanic, the reason that there isn't a PC version is that the game seems to have a real platform aura to it, certainly Bender's sections are advertised as platform levels, and platform games just don't work on PC without a gamepad.

i like about 48cm-52cm screens for games or else some games get to pixilated. its like when something on your computer is about quarter screen and you maximise heaps for the whole screen and it looks spastic

never happens to me, if the tv is high quaility maybe its different. Also, got an email from SCI stating that the game will be out in August, when the little ad card in the season 3 dvd set says July.

Will any part of the game allow you to take control of the planet express ship? If not they have missed a good opportunity. Also is there plans for a sequel if this one does well?

Davids, in a recent interview with one of the staff involved with making the game, he was asked about multiplayer, and said "no, not this time, maybe in Futurama 2" which seems to suggest that there may be some chance of a sequel if this one does reasonably well.

Really, cool! Hopefully at least one more person will buy the game now, the game could be Futurama's last real chance at someday coming back!
