From launching with Luigi's Mansion , to the 3rd party support which is running away faster than a greased hog they seem to have only supported the image that they are out of sync with what is going on. Despite the obvious highlights (metroid, zelda: WW) I am getting disgusted. edit: sp

I think whatever story this game will have, Zapp probably wouldnt belong. But controlling Zoidberg would be fun. Though it might kill whatever the story is.

I was just watching MTV Screenplay in the UK. And today Futurama was reviewed in the games section of the show. Two other cames were also reviewed, something called bloodbath or something like that, which got 6.5/10. A fighting game I think it was Virtua Fighter 4 got 9/10. But Futurama was voted the best game of the three with 10/10!

In the new issue of PSM2 magazine (I think it's PSM2) with the Return of the King cover story, the inside front cover has a brilliant advert for the Futurama game. It shows Fry Leela and Bender stepping out of that toaster thing from the game shooting a lazer gun a Mom. There's also several very positive review quotes at the bottom of the page.

Cool! Thanks for that, although I don't think i've ever seen OPS2 before? Is the demo playable?
Oh and I know that they weren't actually shooting at Mom in the advert, I just couldn't be bothered to go into too much detail.

I wouldn't worry too much about this but I just saw a site with a "late August" release for the PS2 version. Although a new advert that has only just been produced still says August 1st. Oh and Futurama got 70% in Gamesmaster. They said that the graphics are beautiful, and that the story, script and cutscenes make it the funniest game in history! Strangely enough the game lost points for being "too hard". They said that it feels like the game has a "black soul". Whatever, if it's actually a bit of a challenge that'll be a bonus.

Well i've played the demo, and it's bloody good fun! At first I found it very difficult but then I realized that I should actually keep moving as I shoot, and use the targeting system! The graphics are lovely and smooth too. Maybe they should have chosen a slightly brighter and more colourful level to use on the demo, but nevermind.

A couple of tips: - L1 and R1 let you skip through your weapons. In addition to the gun you're holding at the start, you have a pistol (which I prefer as it fires faster) and a hammer as a last resort. Also, square lets you charge up a shot. - Don't break the beam with the hammer. Oh, you don't want to do that . - There are six-packs of Slurm in a crate in the first area, and in the ground floor of the bar. That last one you'll be needing later .

Thanks I knew about most of that, except for using square to charge. Did you know you can also climb up onto platforms in the main square, so that you can drop down to get the crates behind that fence. In the bar I also heard Nibbler when you walk around the seating area. I'm sure he's there to collect but I just can't find him.

No i've got the PS2 Demo! It's with the latest issue of the Official PS2 magazine. Dont get confused with the regular Offical Playstation, this is the one just for PS2. The issue you want has a Tony hawk cover story.

Originally posted by ME: ok, i'm back from my trip to NZ and the first thing i did was put in that demo disk i got with the australian xbox magazine at the airport and i have to say YOU GUYS GOTTA GET THIS GAME WHEN IT COMES OUT!!!!!! IT'S SOOO COOL, FUNNY, FUNNY STUFF, THE THINGS FRY SAYS AS HE DOES STUFF. Even his lips move when he talks as you move him around, the lock on targeting is well designed and the graphics with the xbox are very smooth, clear and capture the visual style of the show. The cel chading is the best i've seen, its not over done. Plus all of this is moving around the screen at a fantastic frame rate, most likely 60fps.

I got OPSM2 on Friday, and got home from holiday yesterday. The playable demo is pretty good fun, pretty much what I expected. This game aint gonna win any awards for ingenious ideas or great graphics, but it looks like the show, and it plays fairly nicely. I'll be buying it anyway, even though I'll finish it in a couple of days most likely.
For anyone wanting to know about the demo, it's one of Fry's levels in Old New York, and is actually a timed demo of I guess about 7 or 8 minutes, the clock appears when you have 30 seconds left. I do like the way you can open the crates and get money and Slurm, nice touch and i have no idea why I like it, I just do.

The PS2 demo is good fun. Oh and Kazzahdrane the graphics are excellent. Especially when you get inside the bar and jumping around. The frame rate can slow down just slightly when there's lots of enemys all attacking at once, or something similar. Also the ending for the demo is a bit of a let down. You just shoot and Oven and it blows up, then it say congratulations. However, this isn't the real ending for the level.
