I just emailed dvdusergroup.com.au and they said that Futurama season 2 is currently scheduled for release on the 21st May here in Australia.

UPDATE: It now looks like it is  scheduled for release on the 14th of May!  :D

You could get a region 2 from amazon.co.uk because people say they work in region 4 players. I would do that but I don't have that much money to risk on geting a DVD that might not work. I am happy just to be a idiot and wait all those months until it comes out.

that's because Fox has never played out an entire futurama production season in one season, war is the h-word and the cryonic woman, were season2 production runs, played as part of season3, as were A flight to remember and Fry and the Slurm factory- season1 eps played in season2

Only...43 days to go untill Futurama S2 is released in Australia :D

How come Fox did not just show all of the production season in one TV season?

Well the simple answer is that fox are bastards, but the more complex one is as follows...

Pre-emption

and since Fox sells the right to its airing season, not production season (except with Cartoon Network) we get screwed by it. If they played the production season every year, we'd be finished by now and probably moved on, or they would have renewed it...

Lets all hope that the Cartoon Network gets the rights to make new episodes one day

i cant wait, as i am resisting the urge to get it off amazon in region 2, bcos i dont want to spend $100 for it not to work. i think it will cost about $100 here, i got season 1 for $70, and considering the dvd's popularity it will be more

ps. there are so many australians in this forum, and the show isnt even on television! channel 7... are u listening....

Yeah, I know what you mean Alexvilagosh - why oh why do, sorry 'DID', they put it on so late?

AND why oh why have they decided to take it off our screens now - with only a few episodes of Season 3 remaining!??!?!!?!?! Do you guys think they would've gone str8 into Season 4 eps? I still think there's hope...

Really looking forward to the Season 2 release... I'll let Carbito do the countdown  :)

Theres this sit i came across http://www.sdvds.com  I saw a van when i was on my way to the city, so i assume they are based here or at least have a distribution thing going on. They dont sell futurama, frankly they probably sell counterfiet stuff. But hey the Professional for 12 bucks.
