it's extremely obvious that it's a 'work in production' art box... no way is that the finished product.  it's aslo on UDS's web site, but I'm 100% sure it's just a "holder" image.

if infact I am dead wrong, a 5 year old could come up with a better cover box than that... that pic is one of the oldest promo pics of futurama there is

I agree with bart182 about it being 'work in production' box art, but it's interesting none the less. thanx for sharing it with us  :)

Yeah I doubt promo images of Bender and Leela would make it onto a video game box! I haven't seen the Fry one before though so that will probably be on the final box.

Presumably the final box would also have the appopriate XBOX, PS2 or PC-CDROM logo at the top...

No. But Gamecube will.

And I agree, it's a "work in production" thing. They have to make it more interesting than that in the final version.

I always assumed that aht pic was just to show people what Futurama was, to jog their memory when they visited the site. The final box art is ALWAYS one of the last things to be done before a game is released (Final Fantasy European box art excluded, every game is nearly the same).

I wonder if it will be a completely new design or a parody of shoot 'em up games from recent years.

the new issue of UK magazine 'Gamesmaster' features the Futurama game on its cover and gives a 4 page 'first look' of the game - loads of screenshots, loads of info.

should be on the shelves this week.

That "in production" pic would actually make a decent cover really. Maybe having Zoidberg on it too though, since he's the fourth playable character!

If our heroes were all on it then I'd like to see Mom, her sons and the shampoo on there too.

There is too much dirty yellow in that picture really. It needs brightening up but not so bright it looks like a stupid game no one in their right mind would buy.

Are the screenshots at  http://www.inforpc.com/galeria.asp?nom=Futurama  the same ones that turned up here last year or are they something completely unrelated?

Yeah, I agree - I think the yellow could be replaced with a bit of blue blue, especially the sky in the box art, which just looks plain ugly. But hey, I'm sure the paid graphic designers know a bit more about it than me (?)
