It's the same, just you can see it from a different angle (and can see Leela).

That sounds fantastic - I'm beginning to seriously doubt that I'll be able to wait till June!

I'm fairly sure Lee's having us on - I hope for his sake he is.

Hate to (sort of) disappoint you Grim, but the table read will be audio only. It will be played over a still image saying something like "Table Read from A Tale of Two Santas". Though it would've been cool to see the actors while they do it, it's cool enough to have a table read at all.

This Easter Egg isn't exactly correct -- based on my knowledge, it actually sounds much cooler than that.  It's actually ...

[SPOILER ALERT!!!]
[SPOILER ALERT!!!]
[SPOILER ALERT!!!]
... a video from one of DXC's Christmas parties (with members of the cast and crew in attendance).  Should be pretty interesting.

So that's it — the three Easter Eggs I didn't want to tell you guys about and ruin the surprise. 1) Alternate Show Opening Quotes, 2) A Table Read (audio only) and 3) David X. Cohen's  Christmas Video.

Can't wait to see/hear 'em!

Oh, and don't forget that obscure number ... 35!  ;)

A Christmas video? Cool!

Would Sarge be part of it?

Sarge, did you ever attend any Christmas parties at David's?

Man those special features sound sweet!! I just know I'm gonna sit down with a pad and pen until I can draw Leela and Fry just like the professionals. Maybe we'll get Zoidberg on the S4 DVD!  :D

Oh dear what a shame. Its a pity you had absolutely no idea it was the wrong date. You would have expected someone here to have said something

By the way that boxart looks cool. Looks kind of like the S1 and S2 boxart splurdged together.

No, you have to wait 8 years, That's the American way of writing dates. It means 2011 April 3rd.

Don't worry -- to the best of my knowledge those both (3D models and Futurama Video Game Trailer) are still included on the Season 3 DVDs.

I hope the news on CGEF doesnt push back the British release date!

An update on the situation of the European Futurama Season 3 DVD set release:

German Amazon now lists the set. However, the release date is said to be September 13th and the price €54,99. Compared to that, Amazon in the UK offers the set for June 2nd and at £29.99 which translates to roughly €45/$45 after adding shipping to western Europe or the US.
If the late date on the German amazon isn't wrong, it could be explained by the local station PRO7 never airing one of the included episodes. If you can live without having the (horrible) German sound, I'd recommend buying the sooner and cheaper British set.

I really really hope the British set doesn't get pushed back either. What worries me is that the German set is so far behind, a little too far. But hopefully that's just down to the fact that none of the episodes have aired there yet, hopefully...  :)

Do Amazon.de normally list imports? Because if they don't, the inclusion of the UK Import may signify that this is merely a case of the local station exercising their airing rights.

I just thought I'd post this new picture of the Season 3 box, that I found today on the R2 project. It's definately the clearest picture I've seen of it so far, and the first picture of the box that looks totally official and finalised, and 3D, of the box   :)

Here's a closer view of part of the artwork.  It shows the side of the box, but I don't think it will really be laid out that way.

You can see Fry with the Iffy-Pop from "Roswell that Ends Well," and behind him are the clocks from the same episode, as well as Cubert and Dwight from "The Route of All Evil" and the √66 sign from "Parasites Lost."

I've seen three images of the box art, all of which show a different layout, but I assume the most recent one of Bender is most accurate.  Here's the last image, which shows most of the rest of the art (there's probably more behind Leela):

Leela is collecting chronitons, as we saw in "Time Keeps on Slippin'."  Note that the explosion behind her and Fry is the same one that appears to the right of Bender in the other image.  I guess they moved it.

Some of them will probably end up on the individual cases. The one Otis posted of Bender fits next to the second one AJ posted. They'll form an continous panorama like on the previous seasons.

Nice to see them make unique drawings for each season. FOX Home Entertainment  deserve massive praise for their effort.

FOX Network deserve to rot in hell. Difficult to believe they're owned by the same company.

Yeah, I noticed that too, and you're right, that is pretty weird. I even checked my Futurama calendar   ;) But the 3rd is a Tuesday, and in the UK, new DVD's normally come out on Mondays, just like CD's. So I expect they just got it wrong   :)

And thanx for those other 2 box arts, Action Jaction  :) I've got a feeling that the firts one you posted is the very first design they did because they re-used the Zapp and Kif on the side from Season 2. And the other one is cool because it show more of what it will probably be like round the rest of it. But the sign from 'Parasites Lost' isn't in the second pic, I wonder id it will be in the final version?  :)

Putting the three together (unfortunately the one at DVDBulletin has disappeared), I think that one side will be the episode listing with a PE ship on the bottom, then one of Bender, then Leela on the other spine, and Fry on the opposite side. Interestingly, this means that the spine would not follow the first two sets (which both have "Futurama" written down the side.

Sorry if someone already mentioned this but...

Earlier on this thread, someone (possibly futufan) said that the slip on plastic case had holes cut in it.  Look at the pictures of our heroes again.  It looks like their helmets are the holes in the case, so when you remove the outer case you'll see F,L&B in totally different surroundings.

I had wondered about that, since you can see Fry's red jacket in the second picture I posted.  That would be neat, though if the Bender picture shows the final layout, Fry's head will be on the spine, so I don't know how it would work.  I guess it would also be on the spine of the actual box the discs are in.

They probably moved the explosion nearer to Bender and then put the sign where it had been.  By the way, what is the significance of the explosion?  I don't remember where it comes from.

Yeah, there was a S2 trailer, it was pretty neat too. Unfortunately it never made it onto the S2 set (unlike the S1 trailer, which did make it onto the S1 set) Unfortunately it looks like it's not going to be on the S3 set either, which would have made more sense anyway. As for a S3 trailer, I haven't heard of there being one yet, but it might come along  :)...

To be honest I'm not sure anymore. Where I saw it was from a link on CGEF in their news just before the S2 set came out, but I'm not sure if it's on CGEF anymore. It might be though  :)
