Application from help (I really AM this dumb!)

Can somebody answer a dumb question for me?  I'm filling in the Futurama Comics subscription form that came with the S2 DVDs.

There's a tick box next to where it says "Yes!  I wish to subscribe to Futurama Comics...".  What's it there for?  Is it to signify that you want to subscribe, or that you're in the EC?

It appears to mean you wish to subscribe for six issues at the price shown... £9.99 if you live in the UK, £11.35 if you live elsewhere in the EU.
