No dancing without contribution to the topic gocad :P

Regarding the amazon.co.uk: You can just order it from the UK without any special steps. They will remove 17% VAT when shipping to the US, which I think is about what you pay for shipping fees. The complete price is shown at the end before you confirm.

BTW, I got some email from the guy who did the great covers for the Season 2 DVD boxes. He told me he used CGEF as a reference when Bongo wouldn't give him the archive   :p Also the Dec-2002 calendar drawing guy and some of the video game company used CGEF. All hail us   :p

Thanks a lot, mArc!  One more quick question regarding the topic, does it automatically convert the currency and tell you how much you are spending?  And will I just have to use my US credit card and it will charge me the equivalent?  Sorry, I'm just really wary about buying overseas!  Thanks a lot already though!

In the "confirm" step, it will list something like this:

Subtotal of Items: £31.59
Giftwrap: £0.00
Postage & Packing: £3,08
Promotional Certificates: -£0.00

Total Before VAT: £30,08
VAT: £0.00

Total: £30,08
Gift Certificates:  -£0.00

Order Total: £30,08 (Approx: US$48 something)

(The prices I got there are approx) You can just advance till there. They won't bill you before you click "place your order" on that screen.

Make sure you can actually play it, too. You a need region two DVD player and PAL playback.

Yes, it will automatically convert your $ into £ with your credit card.  It won't show how much the money is on your billing, but it is about £3/$5

Expect mega cheap ($1.50ish) but slow shipping from UK to US.

Yay!  Thanks a lot guys.  I think my A/V receiver can run PAL , and I have a japanese PS2 (region 2).  If that fails, PC will do fine for me! I just don't want to wait a whole year for the US one (or whenever its supposed to come out).  Thank you VERY much!

Anyone else worried that there will be no Americans buying the Region 1 DVDs when they are finally released? A lot seem to be buying the Region 2s.

I don't think so. There are still lots of Americans who haven't bought the DVD Sets yet.

Very few have bought the region 2 dvd sets in the US.  Even among people who come to CGEF/PEEL, the percentage is fairly low.  Maybe 25% of people on PEEL, who makes up about .001% of the total Americans watching the show.

Well that's good then. I'd say the Region 1 DVDs getting very good sales would be the best chance of FOX rethinking their moronic decision.

I got the DVDs for Christmas and I just finished watching them today.  I watched the Audio Commentaries and the French version (shame there's no German one) but I didn't actually watch the normal version because I've seen them on video so many times anyway.

I can't say anything about them that hasn't already been said.. Great and amusing commentaries (funny that they didn't have much to say about the dullest episode of the season - The Cryogenic Woman), mostly good extras, especially the deleted scenes, and, despite the boring Easter Eggs, definitely worth getting.  Roll on season three, whenever that will be!
