I've skimmed a similar book about The Simpsons (well, more than just "skimmed" since - being my girlfriend's - it's in my damn house, but I've still yet to sit down and give it a completely thorough read); the parts I checked out were pretty good, although large chunks seemed to just be pointing out the obvious or stating things most fans would already know. I'd be interested to see how one for Futurama would compare, given the difference in setting/subject matter.

Futurama did happen to cover a few topics on the subject.  The age old paradox of a grown man, who also happened to be a genius of the highest magnitude, being frozen for a thousand cycles to re-emerge, rebirth if you will, into a setting completely alien to his former environment.  Strangely enough, it was his dreams which became reality, simply because of his yearning.

Leiapadme gave me Seinfeld and philosophy - like Beamer said, I think those kind of books more or less point out the obvious for devoted fans.
